This is good quality and very sturdy, however the magnet attached to the plate too strongly. It takes so much force I thought I was going to damage my door handle. I add thin strips of adhesive padding to loosen the magnet's force and make it just strong enough to hold the door.

This door stopper has performed well so far, keeping the heavy door to our garage in check. It easily holds the door when engaged and easily releases the door when one wishes to close it. It was simple to install.

If you want a perfect and unmarred surface, this might not the be the best device, but at a distance you do not notice it at all. Otherwise the base of this unit on the stem side seems more sturdy than the other product I tried (https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B08CXMJLSQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1).I used the screws that came with the unit and they work fine, but I might recommend GRK as they will hold better for sheering and torque. I do not have experience with them long term but this performs as well as the other unit I tried with the "Hydraulic Shock Absorbent Technology".Both will not catch well if you throw open the door, however the dampener on the other unit will do something more before bottoming out. Both seem to use the same device that accompanies the unit which is spring loaded.This unit is very adjustable and the beauty plate or escutcheon is superior on this unit.The magnet is very strong, my 2 yo son cannot detach it without significant effort. It should be great when you open the windows to your home to air it out and want your internal doors to stay open.It is a funny that some cannot separate the two but you can install the device to one side first without disconnecting the two. Start with the smaller piece first and the back plate unscrews and attach that to the door, then after determining where it will attach to the wall, rotate the stem off the spring loaded part.

I have a heavy front door with a door closing device. With the automatic door closing, it is sometimes hard to bring bulky items inside. I tried other magnetic door stops to hold the door open, but the door was too heavy for them. This magnet holds the door securely. Also, it is nicely made and the mounting screws are concealed. It is also adjustable in length. Lives up to its description as a heavy duty magnetic door stop.

Not sure about the reviews that say this isn't strong. I had a dickens of a time getting it unstuck when I first got it. It's strong. I like the versatility of being able to adjust the length and the different mounting capabilities (on the wall, floor, door). I'm using it for an interior camper door so it's probably stronger than I need, but so far loving it!

Magnet is strong enough to hold door with a BUNCH of clothes hanging behind it so our blind dog can get between his bed and his bowls without being blocked by the bedroom door. I hate the shape of the other magnetic door stops out there but love the minimalist design of this one. Wish it came in gold too.

I purchased this door stop magnet for my laundry room door that likes to close on it's own at times and can honestly say I won't be having that problem anymore. This thing is super duty and the magnet performance is strong enough to hold anything back! Very top quality stop and worth the extra bucks.
