Sturdy and attractive
We love this shoe bench! It's lightweight, but the quality bamboo construction makes it very sturdy and it easily handles heavier people sitting on it. It holds up to six pairs of shoes (smaller sizes fit better). Great little bench!

For small shoes
Sturdy. Hard to put together. Size 7.5 female winter boots and high tops do not fit. It does not matter how the shoes face. This is for sneakers, sandals and kids shoes only. Even 7.5 shoes for women don't fit well.

What glue to use to keep plastic stoppers in place.
Best to use glue with this project. We had to use some E6000 on the pegs that keep the lid from falling down (ie the plastic stops for the lid) it holds about 6 pairs of shoes. 3 on top and 3 on bottom.My 11 year old son was able to build it with no issue. Wood glue on all other wood to wood joints.

Shoddy Constrction
The bottom stretcher is missing screw holes. SCREW HOLES. Now I have to pre-drill and screw those in there, I won’t be using the included screws, Because The included hex bit doesn’t fit all of them, even If that was what it was meant to do. I see some light bleed between some of the wooden panels, they are not flush. I don’t think this would have been worth $100 even if it came fully assembled. I really like the aesthetic, So if I found it at $50, it would be a decent buy. Don’t fall in love with The pictures, this thing will disappoint you.

So small, and so difficult
The directions are not clear, and it took a few hours just to figure it out. After it was all together, the door didn’t close all the way, so i ended up having to remove 2 screws to get it to shut all the way.After finally getting it together, i realized how small the compartments are. I wear a size 10, and i can’t use the optional divider with my shoes. I can fit a total of 3 gym shoes and 2 flip flops in the thing. That’s it.
