It grew! Even in the cold
Worked great. We planted it in November and it sprouted not long after. We only did a small area, but it looks great and it's soft.I didn't have a rake at the time, so I used a shovel to dig off the top layer of dirt, spread out the whole bag, covered it up with dirt, and sprayed it with a hose. Then it rained not too long after! I had thought it had gotten too cold at one point, but it grew anyway!Update: It died in the summer. I definitely didn't water it enough though. So probably only get it if you're going to make sure to water it as often as you can 🤪

Know what you are ordering
First thing with any seed is to know what you are buying. I had no illusions but trusted that Scotts would be grass seed not weed seed. I had bare patches in my small back yard and didn't want to do sod replacement at the time. This seed was coated so it was blue colored when I scattered it (which helped me see where it was, lol) It sprouted and grew after a short time and was bright green rye plus it all sprouted which is great since a lot of seed doesn't sprout at all. This is a quick, inexpensive way to green up.

Took About A Month To Come Up. Now Gangbusters!
I put this down on the first of November and really started to se it consistently on about December first. It's not December 9th and it is coming up like gangbusters. I added fertilizer and did some walking with the spiked shoes in addition to laying down some crabgrass inhibitor. Heretofore, that is what my front lawn was primarily made up of, stinkin crabgrass. But that ends this coming Spring with the help of a fine layer of Fall fescue!

um...where's the grass?
If I could give this zero stars, I would. Nothing grew. I applied the product in early October and followed the instructions. I kept the soil moist, watered lightly 2-3 times a day for 3 weeks. Nothing. I dug up some of the grass seed to check it out and it still has that blue coloring on it and not signs of it sprouting.I know it's not me because I had success with Natures Seed which I used in mid-September, and that came out great, but the lawn still had some bare spots, so I tried overseeding with Scotts and after 4 weeks, there is nothing growing. I'm kinda upset because I wasted time watering and not the mention the money I spent on the water. This is the first and last time I try any of Scott's products.

Best grass seed
This grass seed is amazing! We took down our pool and put the grass seed down in the spot. Within a week we had little baby grass growing. We added more seed and a month later the spot was getting nice and thick already. Very pleased with this brand. Will buy again.
