She seems to like it, except for when she doesn't
She looks like she doesn't mind the cone and lives her life as normal, she can eat, use the litter, follow us around and sleep comfortably (one time she just sat on the couch and stared at the corner for 5 minutes although she wasn't stuck). What I've noticed is that she tries to remove it when it restricts her movement, she lifts her front paws and they crash with the back of the cone, so she gets frustrated and tries to remove it... She has successfully removed the cone twice, the first time on her own, and the second time with our help because she was choking herself trying to remove it (she doesn't care if she dies, she'll remove it) however we figured out that if we turn her on her paws as she lays on her back kicking the cone, she'll forget what she was doing and continue her day as normal.Regarding it's functionality, she can't lick the stitches on her belly, however she can reach her back legs and butt, so I'm not sure I would recommend for male cats?In summary, good product!

These are great!
I bought these for my kittens who were about to be spayed. They were sent home with plastic cones, and as soon as they got home I put them in these instead. They are soft and comfortable. The kittens can go through their cat door with it, sleep comfortably, and still see around them while being prevented from licking their stomach. Now... I will say my black and white girl did her best impression of a feral cat and got out of it almost immediately. She was stressed from the day and her reaction to everything was so extreme that we ended up leaving her alone and luckily she left her stomach alone. We tried again the next day and she left it on for a half hour but then got it off. HOWEVER, I need to point out 2 things: I think she either would have gotten out of the cone from her extreme reaction or she would have cut her neck (that cone was sharp!), and also, this little girl managed to figure out how to get out of a pet play pen at 5 weeks of age (!) by studying me opening the zipper and the manipulating the zipper from the inside enough to get a paw through and then move it up so her body got through. She's unusual. I could have tightened it even further and it may have stayed on better, but I decided not to because she wasn't messing with her stitches. My little white girl has kept it on perfectly. It's been 9 days now. I'll leave on the full 2 weeks. I don't think she notices it. It's like a travel pillow. She's perfectly happy and comfy. I put it in the washer once and it cleaned perfectly. I'm really pleased with the product.

Very Helpful
Some people had mentioned not to get this if it’s for a male that is getting neutered because your pet would still be able to reach. Well, my 2 male cats were actually not able to reach the incision. It was perfect. HOWEVER, I tried this on my small dog (10 lbs) and she did reach the base of her tail which I was trying to keep her from nibbling on. It’s not very wide so keep that in mind for lower areas or longer/bigger pets.I actually didn’t feel like a monster forcing these on my cats. They used them as pillows and seemed very pleasant to wear.As far as sizing. I had a hard time deciding because I have 3 cats that were different weights: 5, 6, and 7 lbs. I got them all the bigger size available and fit them all perfectly.I am so happy I ordered these. They wore these for exactly 14 days and seemed kind of sad that it was gone. I feel like upon opening the package I was a little underwhelmed and maybe wished I had gone with the bigger bulkier ones but in all honestly these little ones got the job done and the cats hardly seemed to notice them. They are also very easy to clean. I had one very drooly kitten after surgery and I would often wipe it down with a washcloth and that’d do the trick. Other times I’d hand wash it and it’d air dry fairly quickly which was great because I don’t have a dryer. Hope this helps !

Comfort an ailing cat
My cat was sent home with a plastic collar after his neuter. He was miserable. I switched to the soft collar and he easily adapted to it and wasn't in a freezy to remove it. He did manage to remove it twice but never fought having it put back on.

Ditch the cone and get this instead!
My poor buddy Onxy had paw surgery and was wearing the Cone of Silence (reference to the old TV series Get Smart), and it was making him crazy. He could not eat or drink with the plastic cone from the vet in place, and he couldn't get comfortable. I luckily found this collar and the reviews and Q&A looked promising, so I placed my order. The collar came quickly and was easy to put on my cat. Now he can eat and drink without us having to remove the collar, and he is able to find any laying position comfortable. He has not been able to reach his paw and the wound is healing nicely. The collar is soft, and doesn't have an odor, so we even let Onyx sleep with us while he wears it.

Not quite enough.
The item needs to be an inch or so wider for what I needed My cat was still able to over groom his paws. He wasn't able to over groom his belly though. I'll have to go back to the traditional cone shape. Note: he was able to scratch through the fabric in about 3 days. The stuffing started showing through. I had to discontinue using it for safety reasons.

Still reached the spot to lick
My car kept licking a spot in her leg for over a year. I ordered this but she was still able to lick her back leg with it on

Fantastic for Post Surgery not LONG CATS
I got this for my cat when he needed to get a PU surgery. i was afraid that it wouldn’t keep him from the suture but it actually does. he can’t reach it. i also got it so it would be more comfortable for him when sleeping, eating and drinking water, and it helps tremendously. now that this cone doesn’t restrict his head space too much, he’s always rubbing his head on our hands. great purchase!! our cat is 10 lbs**update: i would say, if you have a long cat this cone will not work. my cat sven is a lengthy boy and although the cone does work, if he bends over real quick, his cone will stop at his upper stomach and then now he can reach his suture and lick it. if i could, i would probably return it just because it doesn’t work for my boy but i can’t because he already got blood on it.
