Within minutes of opening the box, the small nails that attached two parts of the stand seperated from the piece they were attached to. My Mom had been so excited to receive the stand, that my Dad, a retired mechanical engineer, went into action trying to fix it. As of today, eight days later, I have not been informed that he had any success.

I recently ordered this as a book holder so that I don't have to hold the book while reading. Holds the book perfectly. It is sturdy and looks great. Its not very light weight so may not be ideal for traveling. Edges for the stand could have been rounded and the bottom of the stand could have been broad, so that I could place it on chairs arms and not on my lap. But Works great otherwise.

This is a fairly heavy stand, but it does fold up to carry. Adjustability is good, but I would like it more if it would lean back a bit farther. Some wood working may be required to change that.

I picked this one because I like that it was a wood look and that it was height adjustable. The first one arrived with two screws missing and the replacement arrived in a box WITH NO TAPE and the stand was broken. I would love to raise the rating if I could actually try the stand out!

My son was just diagnosed with back problems and can't lean down to do his homework reading. This has been a big help and looks like it will hold up well

Book stand is just as shown and it works really well. It is a little heavier than I expected, but not at all a problem. I am very pleased with the product.

This book holder is very well made with high quality materials. The bamboo look nicely polished and sturdy. It was in perfect shaped, no chips or splinters at all. I'm actually very impressed with this product. The height setting is easily to adjust and move smoothly. Will put this product to good use and would highly recommend to family and friends.

Item arrived with the base broken off - completely unusable. Looks like cheap glue residue and flimsy supports used.
