So far so good, had them for a few months now with no issues at all. Totally waterproof and very comfortable, I have been applying boot polish to the leather as I go as the leather creases heavily by the toe.

Hoggs use to be quality boots , not anymore , soles coming away on both boots after 5 weeks of wear

Finally found a comfortable strong pair of work boots. Had several different more expensive pairs but always fail. I work in agriculture and they get a hard life. These hoggs are truly great. Been wet recently and they performed really well. The reinforced steel toe caps hardly scuffed even after a spell in workshop. Good boots so far. Very happy.

Having received boots so called waterproof boot, I was very surprised to read the instructions that before wearing them in the wet to wear them for two weeks in the dry and to apply dubbing. I’ve had lots of waterproof boots and have never come across such strange direction, but I followed the instructions and was most disappointed when I had my first wet day at work wearing them and my feet got soaked. Again I followed the instructions and air dried them and when dry reapply dubbing.Sadly they again disappointed when my feet got soaked during the next wet day at work. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised as their instructions said to buy two pairs so that you could alternatively dry them and wear the other pair, I’ve never had another make of boots say this.They appear to be a good sturdy boot from the couple of months I’ve had them, but if you’re looking to keep your feet dry, I would suggest buying a pair of waterproof socks like I have from sealskinz these are essential if you’re going to have these boots as waterproof work boots. Maybe Higgs of Fife could add a pair to each purchase.
