Buxton Men's Hunt Credit Card Folio

First, it's not really black, but rather a dark grey with some black mottling in the color. Second, it is not textured or oiled as the description states. Third, the bevels for the credit card slots shown in the descriptive pictures are not present. Fourth, the corners of the wallet I received are very square and not slightly rounded, again, as shown in the descriptive picture. So...this really isn't the wallet described or pictured. With that said, the wallet seems to be well made. I have used a Rolf's Hipster for many years and as you loyal Rolf's fans know, they are no more to be found. This is as close as I have found to the original Rolf's.if any of the items I described in my first four points matter to you, look elsewhere for a wallet - this one may disappoint you.I would really hope the sellers and/or Amazon get with the program and update their pictures and description to make it accurate - I know i was disappointed to see the actual wallet I received different than the description and pictures on the Amazon website. I will try and learn to live with as your choices for a Rolf's Hipster replacement are limited...but hope my review helps others in their selection.I have attached images of the wallet i received in hopes it helps you in your selection of making or skipping this purchase.If my review helped you, please like it - it will make me feel better about keeping this product -- Thanks!

I might have given another star if there were just a millimeter more of clearance in the slots for credit cards and my driver's license. I had to shave the edges of my credit cards to get them into them, and it's a real challenge to get my license out. And don't take the photo showing a beveled edge of these slots at face value--the bevels aren't there, at least in the one sent to me. It appears this skimping was to accommodate the provided plastic insert for additional credit cards, which I don't need and immediately discarded. I also would have preferred bi-level currency pockets like those in my worn out but discontinued Rolfs (which was actually smaller in overall dimensions).Otherwise, I like it fine; materials and construction appear to be first class.

Apparently Rolf's men's wallets are no longermade, too bad. I've dependend on them for over 20 yrs. Buxton seems to have adopted the Rolf design and construction, duplicates the great Rolf product, so all is not lost. Perfect for my needs, good card pockets, very functional, easy on the back pocket,very reasonable price. I hope Buxton will be offering this item for another 20 years.

just got mine in the mail. it's hard to compare it to the La Grande wallet of the same design, that wallet has been in my pocket over 20 years, so i hope in all fairness this will break in and acheive the same smooth, molded shape that sweat and my @ss created in the first wallet. sorry if that sounds a little crude but hey it's the truth. it's the only wallet i could find with all the exact features. I'll let you know in a couple of months how it's working

Every several years I try to find a billfold of this style because it allows me to carry the many cards and other items needed during working travel. This time I hedged by buying two. I always buy the plastic window inserts because they do not last as long as the billfold.The various pockets on these specific examples were a little too tight for standard credit cards, licenses, etc. requiring some stretching before the insertion and removal could be done easily. Not a big problem but only slightly smaller would have made the billfold useless. Do better.

Overall I like the wallet very much, the only thing is that the pockets for the cards is very tight and need to break in so that the cards come out a little easier

I chose this as a replacement to my favorite attache style that is no longer available. Nice fit in the pocket.Comfortable. Carries all my needed credit cards, business cards and other "wallet" items with no problem. It does not have the plastic credit card cover that some wallets have and the slots where credit cards go is very tight and hard to get the cards inserted. Time will tell about it's endurance.

Credit cards don't fit, driver's license doesn't fit. The little window slot to hold a driver's license is too small to hold a California driver's license easily. It goes in with effort, but if you have to take it out for some reason, it's harder than it ought to be. It's similar to something I had before, but everything fit in that one. This one, not so much.

This is the third (or fourth) of this particular model of Buxton wallet I've purchased over the years but I don't ever remember the card slots being so tight - I've got to literally force them in. Although it's way past its prime, I'm going back to using my previous one and in the meantime I'll put some out of date cards in my new one hoping that the slots will stretch enough to make the wallet usable. I notice another reviewer made a similar comment about the tightness of the card slots.If the slots don't stretch enough, I guess I'll have to physically go to a store and try out another make/model/style of wallet. This would be a shame as I've am so used to the layout of this particular Buxton wallet.

Although this is a slightly bigger size than my usual wallet it still fits my pockets easily. The soft leather is excellently finished and overall I would heartily recommend this product and will look to replace like for like next time I need a new one.

Compared to my previous wallet, this one is noticeably thinner even though it carries everything the other did. I like the quick access card compartment on the inside top right corner as it allow me to easily reach for my public transportation card. The leather seems to be very good quality. The only downside is that it is wider than my previous wallet but this is the trade-off for its thinness. All things considered, it's a very good purchase.

Nice soft leather wallet, fairly flat even with lots of cards in it.
