EKG/ECG Interpretation
The media could not be loaded. I have a few friends who are nurses and I am always asking them to help me read my EKG. They recommended this book because it is well written and gives a lot of good information on learning to read EKGs and ECGs. After reading the book myself not being in the medical field it gave me a better understanding on how to read an EKG. Good book for any nurse, medical student, someone going into the medical field or someone like me who is interested in knowing what their EKG says.

Important information to know.
Im a realist and I believe everyone should have at least a little knowledge of the medical field and what not. I have a family member at home that I may need to read an EKG for or at least see an EKG and understand what I am seeing in the future. This book was really helpful.

Excellent interpretation of heart and function
EKG Interpretation is as tho rough as they come.Author gives overview of heart and its function. Then delves into explaining anatomy of heart. Author references chambers, layers, even valves to name a few.For meticulousness to detail giving book 5 stars

Poorly written
I’m surprised with all the positive reviews. That’s actually why I purchased the book. Unfortunately, I can’t agree. At best the book has the bare minimum of what it should. It reads as if it was slapped together overnight by perhaps a group of college nursing students that rushed to finish a project. It’s a bit all over the place. Concepts are poorly described. And the basic editing Leaves much to be desired. For a few more bucks one can do much, much better by purchasing a legitimate reference manual on the used market.

Too many assumptions for beginners
I thought this book was terrible. I am just starting to learn about the heart and what ECG readings are supposed to do. I have no prior medical training. I could not learn anything from this book, and I am returning it. It might be OK for medical professionals or students, but it is definitly NOT written for begginners. I rated it with one star, but should probably be ZERO stars.

Learn to diagnosed and treat arrhythmias
If you are a nurse and are starting to learn how to read EKG then this book can help you. They give step by step guidance of the 12 lead EKG and lead you to understand how to diagnose and treat arrhythmias. They take you through the anatomy of the heart and its physiology. They explain the definitions. They discuss blood pressure. They then get into EKG and ECG explaining what they are and the tools needed.
