Great value in a small radio
This small radio is an exceptional value. The AM-FM tuner is very high quality with long range and clear sound, and it has a clock with alarm and nice lighted display. 12/24 clock selection for time display. It runs on AA batteries which are easy to change. Radio is easy to set up. For someone who loves radios, this was a very pleasant surprise with some higher end features.

GPX Shortwave radio
4 stars because only 3 Volt AA batteries. Not power adapter ready (I could mod it eventually).Still works ok with new batteries. Does receive CHU Canada time signal 7.850 Mhz ok! WWV is a bit harder to pickup. All indoors with the small antenna. Has a nice blue display, clock too!

The best AM/FM hat I have found at fifteen dollars...Great Quality!
The best fifteen dollars that I have spent for an AM/FM portable radio. The last four years I have purchased a dozen or so radios (hobby), price range from $10.00 to $60.00 .... The GPX model R616W matches the $60.00 name brand in sound quality and features. I am totally amazed of the radio quality for only $14.99. Have not tired the short-wave band. Purchased it for strictly AM talk-radio shows. Great reception with no lost signal. Will purchase two more for family members. Great for emergency or go-bag. I Was Not compensated for my review. Just a happy camper.

great value
My only complaint is that it shuts itself off after 90 minutes. I purchased it in hopes of scaring off critters from my garden all night long. Batteries don't last a long time, but only requires two double As. When batteries are changed, it loses anything in its memory.

Garbage. And how does someone design a radio with ...
Would give it zero stars if I could. Admittedly, it's so cheap that I couldn't expect any quality. So shame on me for buying it anyway. Bottom line - it took only a few months for this to outright break. It will power on, but none of the buttons work. You can't even turn it off, so have to pull out the batteries. Cheap. Garbage. And how does someone design a radio with preset buttons, but the presets are lost when you replace the batteries?

Holy Cow!
I don't normally leave reviews unless a product is an exceptional value. This little radio out performs most of my more expensive radios. The sensitivity and selectivity is outstanding and the internal noise caused by the internal digital circuits is limited. The only negative is ther is no power jack for an external power supply. You must use batteries. It only uses 2 AA and I have about 6 hours on the radio and all is well. If you get a clunker, send it back for replacement. This little radio is the real deal!
