These snips are made for durability and strength and they certainly fit the bill. They are very well made and substantial with wide strong jaws. The handles were great to use and very comfortable to hold. My husband had no metal or plastic to work on but but tried it out on some small spare pipes, when he was not looking I trimmed the wild growth from my roses. We both liked using them although I did find them a little heavy but I do have very small hands. I also found the safe catch a little hard to put on. The snips arrived in a blister pack which was impossible to remove without cutting it off which is worth a mention in these environmental friendly days as well as being inconvenient. Other than that we have no complaint on what is an excellent product
