Nike Guard Stay II Strap

These guard stay straps keep shin guards in place for the entire game!! They are made of great material and are a great value!! They perform great and are easy to use!!

Always have to have the straps. My kids always need to have their straps for their soccer games, it’s a must have for them. But Nike straps are great and I recommend them to anyone.

It does hold the shin guards well. The velcro of the shin guard stay is a good size patch that keeps it on you. The thickness of the product is absolutely great. The elasticity is also great. I bought this product about 5 years ago and the elastic is still strong. I bought this for my son because I know how well this product work.

This review is approximately 2 months after purchase, but diving straight in I'm fairly happy with these. My legs are muscular so I wondering how uncomfortable they might end up becoming strapped tightly around my Achilles, if they are worn too low then it may become a problem for some players but I wear mine about 5 inches from the top of my foot. The elasticity is great, it is strong yet has good rigidity, the velcro has not become as frayed and wild like cheap velcro tends to do when used heavily. These are so much better than using sleeves to me because I can slide my shinnies on and off in seconds. My only suggestion for those considering this product is make sure you use a quality sock, because if they are too loose and dont have enough compression then they can slide and you'll be adjusting them more than you'd like. Another thing that may be confusing to purchasers is the description of the product, it says a 2 pack which means just 2 guard stays, it can mislead you into thinking they may be getting 4 guard stays instead of just 2( a one oack) so that is very misleading but I read that in another review and it made sense.Pros: good quality, great elasticity, faster than sleeves, adjustable, good price, color options.Cons: package description, can slide with loose fitting socks, slight irritation with Achilles.All in all I would definitely recommend this product to those on the fence about this product. I've always wondered how well they work and how comfortable they are. I play fairly often and use these all the time with confidence that I wont be running up and down the pitch with flopping shinnies or worry about losing one in a challenge. I am happy with my purchase, I own 3 pair of these and for the price I am happy with this product. I hope this review helps some of you.

I primarily use pre wrap to keep my socks and shin guards from slipping down but these do a great job as an extra level of security to prevent slipping.The negatives of theses are if you have a loose sock or you rely on them as the only thing to keep up your shin guard you will be adjusting all game. They have a tendency to slip down or under the shin guard which will require you to readjust and restrap.For practice equipment you can save some money on pre wrap because this will be enough for most sessions.

I am a relatively small woman at a pants/dress size 4. These stays fit over my shin guards and my legs but I have to pull them tight just to make the velcro reach. I do not think these are large enough for medium to large men, unless they like wearing the stays below the guards. I do not like this method, as I have found the guards slip down over top of the stays within the sock, but I have seen other people wear it like that so it would work for them.
