These SAVED me and my little dog who had surgery
My dog wasn't allowed to jump for 6+ weeks after his knee surgery and I could not crate him. So these prevented him from jumping up or down from the bed so I could actually sleep with ease! I don't think I screwed them to the bed properly, so it wasn't as secure as it would be (it is a little tough to do by yourself and moving the mattress enough to get to it when doing all sides). So it's a little hard to assemble and install, but I don't know how they could have made it easier. The sides slide up and down with ease as well, but don't fall down when you don't want them to. I had cats who jumped on them a LOT and it didn't collapse them or move them at all!

Great bed rails, excellent customer service
We chose to screw the bed rails onto our box spring since we don't have a bed frame and the sizing is a perfect match. Unfortunately one pole did break but we were sent a new one within a week!

Horrible instructions!!! Nightmare to assemble
I bought two of these. One set was missing the protective foam for the upper bars. Both sets came with 1 out of the 4 cross bars that has bends in it with no explanation anywhere why that bar has bends in it?Both sets came with a small Velcro strap and a long safety strap of some sort but ZERO mention in the instructions what they are for or how they are installed. (See photo of straps & terrible instructions.)I had to add my own brackets for additional support. Otherwise it was very unstable & shaky.I’ve bought several subpar things on Amazon - but this was the first that annoyed me to the point where I had to write a review to warn others - that unless you have the same exact bed in their product video - I’d be very careful purchasing this. Also, I don’t work for a competing Bedframe company nor am I a spam bot. 100% real customer and also 100% dissatisfied.

Works well
These bed rails work well and get the job done! They are easy to install and use. The description says that there are no gaps for babies/toddlers to fall between your mattress and the rail which I do not agree with. Even with my mattress up against the rail, my toddler could slide between the two without supervision. For reference, I have a mattress on a platform with no no spring.

THE BEST!
These are seriously a lifesaver! For everybody saying that it is misleading all you have to do is read the description. You are only purchasing one bed rail. Yes, it adds up when purchasing four sides and can get a little expensive, but it is worth it! For me, it is nice to be able to get a good nights sleep in a full bed if I have to sleep with my two-year-old. Even better is the fact that she can have a full-sized bed and we can just remove the rails as we see fit. All of our friends who have children comment on how cool this is and are planning on buying them as well! We just put the mattress on the floor and used all of the y straps. My husband got more Velcro straps to better secure the corners better, but other than that this thing is the best! Also, it took me forever to find rails that actually sat on top of the mattress. The height is from the top of the mattress to the top of the rail and all of the other products I could find sat beneath the mattress, which my daughter would have easily been able to climb out of.

The good, the bad, and the ugly
I'm not gonna lie. If you want my opinion on if this product is the best to buy out of the other options you've probably looked at, i believe it is.That doesnt mean it doesnt have flaws though, and there are things that I think you should know before you get theseTLDR: buy extra velcro/buckle fasteners, you will have to buy and see if they'll work on your frame no matter what, and you should just read my review because it's gonna save you a lot of grief. The good: it secures itself into the wooden bedframe and has caps at the top of the rails that keep the 3 rails(yes, you will buy 3 separately. 2 if one side is pushes against a wall) from coming apart. When you put the rail down it only collapses the top bar down onto the lower one squishing down the mesh. So you dont have to worry about moving the entire set up and down. My baby is only 6 months so there is not a lot of pressure coming from him to cause too much panic yet. He likes to get close to the edge of my bed so this product definitely kept him from pulling a Kirby tilt n tumble.the bad: there will still be a small gap between your mattress and the rail no matter what unless you stuff them. And unless you adjust the lower bars every time you get out or decide you don't need the rail at its highest point, you are going to scoot your booty across the bar everytime you get out of your bed. Another thing that isn't a complete deal breaker for me personally is that while the rail technically does come down, it's only a portion that slides and you will have the bars on the corners that stick up like posts around your bed. It's not aesthetically pleasing when it comes to showing off your house but let's be real. You probably have baby gear everywhere taking up all your space anyway and you're just gonna have to say tough cookies and wait that idea out until after your babies are bigger. It'll be okay. The ugly: these are the worst directions I've ever read and contradict the online directions. THE GREY KNOB IS THE BUTTON. TURN THE LEFT SIDE LEFT AND THE RIGHT SIDE RIGHT AND PRESS THEM DOWN TO LOWER THE BAR.It may not work for your bed by itself. The measurements might check out online but nobody can guarantee that the frame of your bed will work with it until you buy it. We ended up needing to buy extra wood and adding it to the frame to secure it. And even then when all is said and done after putting everything together and the mattress back on we discovered that the bars don't perfectly match up and the caps won't stay on the one side that we worried the baby would push on. Because of that we will need to buy extra fasteners for the corners to stay together but I planned on doing that anyway. In reality this isn't the most sturdy thing in the world but it gets the job done.

Perfect
We are currently transitioning from cosleeping to our own bed. I put the twin bed right next to my bed and purchase re-of these rails. Too short sides, open side next to my bed. They are sturdy, easy to install and not to look at. I couldn’t be happier with the product.

Better then expected…
Purchased this for my injured pup that could not use the ramp while healing from surgery. Works excellent for this intended use. Not sure if I would trust it for a toddler, but if installed properly it is pretty sturdy.
