Excellent!
This is a fantastic story with adorable illustrations. Yes, we need giving hearts that are willing to share. However, we do not need to be so generous that we have to rely on charity to meet our own needs. I had a friend once who had gone on a trip. When she got home, she learned that the church had taken food donations for some reason. Her husband had literally given away every food item in their pantry! This family wasn't well off, and she couldn't just go out and restock the pantry. Like Ms. Hare in this story, they had giving hearts that forgot about themselves completely.

Heartfelt yet powerful lesson!
What a beautiful, warming and heartfelt story that I read with my six-year-old daughter and my baby. It teaches about the kindness of sharing and giving but also the importance of making sure we take care of ourselves so we aren’t left with nothing. I could relate to this lesson as well! It served as a nice reminder to make sure that our cups are full before we start pouring everything to others. Not only was I able to make a connection to myself but also we were able to make a connection to the outside world and making sure that we don’t make any purchases that involve animals being hurt. What a lovely story with a great life lesson!!! I also couldn’t help myself and bought the books for my nephews too! ❤️

Wonderful Book with a Wonderful Message
This is a lovely story that teaches some important lessons about the importance of balancing giving and self-care - in a very cute way. I love the note at the end that encourages children to support products that do not harm animals.

Important Lesson in a Beautiful Story
If you like “The Giving Tree”, you will love this story. A great way of teaching children (and adults) to know and respect their limits.
