Good deal.

First rate plots and good writing
Excellent set of stories written by a rather neglected author. Het stories had none of the more far out elements favoured by Agatha Christie and were rather modern style police procedurals.

A classic of the Golden era.
Ngaio Marsh belongs to the best writers of detective novels of the Golden age of this genre. She belongs to the same class like Agatha Christie, Dorothy L. Sayers, Margery Allingham etc. Her detective novels are very much novels that take the reader to the world of art, as Inspector Alleyn's wife is a painter and to the theatrical world as Marsh herself worked in a theatre as producer. This book contains full novels, not short sotries as it could appear. It is one of many in this edition.
