Looked lovely but the water doesn't completely drain so it has started to get black spots of mold. The gaps are too small to try get in to clean.

I got the grey ones for my charcoal facial soap and dark coloured artisan ones. Brilliant, no longer look dirty and grungy. Quick rinse keeps them clean. Trimmed the white ones down to fit in my chrome soap holders in bath and shower. No hard soap residue to clean off the holders and soap doesn't slip through the gaps.

These rest in a soap dish so that the soap can dry out under neath. They do work to keep the soap and soap dish from going all slimy. However, the pad itself becomes slimy instead

I bought these for storing solid Lush products (shampoo, conditioner, and soap) which have a tendency to get mushy if not dried out between showers. They have made a big difference to longevity, allowing the water to drain off.The important thing about these is the water needs to have somewhere to go. If you stick them in a closed soap dish and never rinse them out, they won't make a difference. I keep mine on the bath tray and the water drains into the tub. (If you do want to use them in a walled soap dish, layer up two so you have longer between rinses.)I also stick them in the bottom of my travel tins so nothing sticks to the bottom. It works great.
