I've been using this litter for years, mainly because Olive's litter box is in the bathroom, so I just scoop her waste into the toilet. Couldn't be easier. AND this litter doesn't track as badly as others I've used. Once I put down a litter mat, any tracking problems were solved 100 percent.The only caveat is that, because it's wheat, if you have a mouse problem, you might get a bigger mouse problem if this is your litter. Because Olive loves visiting one of my apartment neighbors so much, I put a litter box in his place. He's had mice problems for years, despite great exterminators trying to solve the issue. One day, I noticed mouse droppings in the litter, and when I picked up the box...OMG: there was an actual stencil of mouse poop around the box. CLEAR:Y the mice were eating the litter. So we tossed it and his mice problem quickly decreased.As my apartment doesn't have mice, I'm happy to continue using Swheatscoop, as it's truly great stuff. And as cats are obligate carnivores, there's no danger of Olive eating it. Just because cat food manufacturers add wheat to cat food, that doesn't mean your cat will eat pure wheat without all kinds of meat and gravy mixed with it.I love that it so easily dissolves in the toilet. Makes life a whole lot easier. The absorbency is amazing--urine clumps into giant rocks, the scent is a gentle wheat scent (barely noticeable), and most important, Olive loves it, and loved it even more when I switched from the standard covered cat box to an ordinary shallow (but large--larger than regular) Tupperware bin. She loves the open air and the opportunity to build mountains to cover her poop. What a nut. :)

I wanted to give it a good chunk of time to try the litter before reviewing it, and I have not been disappointed! I only have one cat, and I would say generally, alone, the smell is pretty well controlled by the litter. After two weeks I started to smell it a little bit. I now put in a capful of deodorizer (I think it’s the fresh step crystals) weekly(ish), and that has completely taken care of the odor. With the combo of the litter and deodorizer, you would never know there was a cat in the apartment.The litter is easily flushable, even with a low flow toilet so cleaning the box is so easy. I’ve tried the regular and the fast clumping, and IMO the fast clumping works better. I just have a regular/non fancy litterbox, and the litter clumps don’t stick to it, which is amazing. The litter tracks a little bit (but that might just be my cat). I have a little handheld vacuum next to his box and that takes care of it fine.Overall, it’s a great litter, and I’ll continue to buy it. Just get a deodorizer with it!

I think these would have worked just fine. I bought it to use in my rabbits litter box but they wanted to eat it so it really wasn't successful for me but probably would work well with cats.
