Dean M. King’s story, The Guardians, made me cringe with revulsion and exclaim, “Ewwwww” when I first read it. But that part of me that delights in guilty pleasures applauded the ending. To be able to elicit that kind of reaction from a reader with only 100 words in your arsenal is quite a remarkable accomplishment. Nicely done Mr. King. Keep giving me reasons to look under the bed when I go to sleep at night.
