Q: Does the product rub off? How long did the repair last?

This product made an incredible improvement. It hasn't rubbed off yet but I only did it a week ago. It restored the look of the old faded worn and cracked leather to 'like new' condition. After applying the color, I waited about 12 hours and then applied a leather cleaner/conditioner to lock it in, which was suggested in the application instructions. Excellent results.

Q: Will this work to deposit color into a faded black BMW 430i convertible steering wheel?

I cannot answer specifically, only know it worked very well on leather bucket seats of a Mini Cooper S. Prepped by using leather cleaner and elbow grease. Then 2 coats. Turned out well.

Q: Will this permanently darken new black leather? I need my new steering wheel a few shades darker.

Yes, it's permanent. Very permanent. I like how my seats turned out and I like knowing it'll be years before they fade.

Q: I think this would be beautiful if I could apply it without major streaking. Does anyone have advice for that?

Hi Bitall, Thanks for your inquiry. To avoid streaks, I recommend applying a thin layer of the compound in a circular dabbing motion.
