For reference, my dog's measurements are--Weight: 11.5 lbs; Chest girth: 15"; Neck girth: 12"; Base of neck to base of tail: 14". The Small fit perfectly! He has a longer body + slightly shorter legs, so I was a bit worried about it not covering enough of his back, but it is a great length.The jacket in size Small measures 12" from the neck / under the collar to the bottom of the jacket; just under 14.5" if you measure the whole length including the collar.He has a sweater on in the picture, which does reach all the way down his back so it pokes out a bit from under the jacket but not by much. It's very simple to put on, though the velcro is LOUD but it's also strong, which is good! The water resistant side is pretty good-- better than I expected-- holding up well against light water without soaking through; unsure how it stands against a downpour or heavy rain but it isn't a raincoat so I'm not expecting it to be totally waterproof. It's a bit thin overall but it is cozy / snug and does seem to help a lot with keeping him warm. The chest portion (between the collar velcro + the belly velcro) is a bit narrow, if that makes sense, but the belly area has a good amount of stretch to it, so it should be able to ideally accomodate a small range of chest sizes. The neck portion is not stretchy but you can adjust where you connect the velcro to best fit your dog. There is a small hole on the back for the harness / leash, though it is not in the right area for my specific harness. The dark red plaid is a nice colour! My only (super minor) complaint so far is the little size tag on the jacket's soft plaid side, but I can just cut it so that's not a big deal either— it just seemed a bit silly to have on a reversible jacket.Overall it's a pretty good little jacket! Hopefully will hold up well during the brutal NE winter but has been great so far this autumn. Definitely *actually measure* your dog instead of going off of weight alone.

Finally, a doggie coat that fits my short, stout pittie mix! Lots of adjustability, so I didn't need to get a larger size that would've been too long. Perfect fit, nicely made, easy to put on... Pumba loves his stylin' new jacket and is nice and warm!

The media could not be loaded.  I have a VIDEO! Watch it!!I bought 3 coats. Each a different color. These coats were purchased at the same time. 2 coats arrived and 1 got lost. This is a 3rd party seller. So Amazon had to refund me the money & I had to re-buy the lost coat. I reached out to the company, no response and Amazon has limited ability to assist with 3rd party sellers. When I re ordered it said it arrive Saturday and now it’s saying Tuesday. They fill orders slowly and ship each coat individually, therefore shipping is terrible and entire order arrives at different times/days.1st the quality is nice! Stretchy underneath.2nd, these sizes run small. Use THE CHART! If you use the chart you can’t go wrong!3rd I know there’s a lot of Velcro’s. 3 sides to be exact. One in front across their chest to secure around neck and Velcro on each side of their lower abdomen. I think a design with just 2 Velcro’s would have been efficient. You only need to secure around neck and connect on one side of abdomen. They can step into it much like a harness.I know people said all the Velcro is an issue. although, I can see why, it’s not a deal breaker. It’s a reversible coat, few reviews said when you reverse it, the Velcro connects oddly. This was not my experience. It was fine. HINT** you only need to undo Velcro on one side and flip inside out and connect on one side. Don’t undo all 3 sides. That’s a pain and you might struggle trying to re-connect it and end up with Something off that’s uncomfortable for the dog.With that being said the black side will prevent light water or drizzling rain but it’s not water proof. The cotton is enough to keep dog cozy and comfortable. Remember they still have hair and are warmer than humans. But it won’t provide superior warmth for things like snow. But it’s perfect for cold windy days or chilly night walks.

Great dog coat. It is reversible with a plaid side and a water resistant side. Fits dog nicely and easy to get on and off. Velcro is wide and has a strong hold. I would buy this again! Great item for the price.

We finally found a lighter weight winter jacket for our Aussiedoodle. He is medium sized dog at 46.2 lbs, and we ordered the XL. It's adjustable at front as well as belly & could also be looser or more snug around belly if needed but we like the way it fits right out of the package.****Things I like about this jacket: 1) it is long enough on his back, 2) collar up, collar down, 3) leash hole on back, 4) reversible to lightweight black quilted material, 5) nice wide velcro closure on front, 6) nice comfy velcro-tabbed closure under belly, 7) nice large leg openings.****Things I wish it was: 1) a little heavier for Wisconsin weather, 2) maybe a pocketOverall, it's really quite nice. Fits perfectly and we can put his harness on underneath. Easy on & off, the entire belly piece comes off if needed. Nice large leg openings so it's not so tight around his chest and legs. I think that makes it feel much more comfortable for him. I like it because all he has, so far, is sweaters with leg holes. This one can be draped over and Velcro'd shut. We use the front loop on his harness when walking but we do have a car seat leash so the hole on the back will come in very handy for that.The plaid is like a brick red & is flannel. The Velcro is VERY strong so no chance of it coming loose. Really like that. I cannot attest to water resistance yet but so far I think it will be nice for any walks we go on that are 20+ degrees above zero. Of course we love him to the moon & back and want him to stay as warm as possible in this bitter January.I give it 5 stars.

Great little coat and love the fact it’s reversible very easy to put on and doesn’t restrict my dog but keeps her warm I have a fox terrier weights 28th and medium was perfect size

Bel cappottino reversibile, taglia L perfetta per il mio cane. Avrei preferito due elastici dietro per le zampe, quando cammina gli sale un po', in effetti è buffo. in generale, funziona e fa il suo lavoro, poi lo rende molto elegante. Adoro le stampe scozzesi!

I have a golden doodle, he weighs about 53lbs, we shave his fur down every couple months cause he gets super fluffy so i got this so he stays warmer and it works well in the rain he doesn’t get wet where it covers. He is wearing a Large. It fits perfect and doesn’t bother him or get in his way at all

The media could not be loaded.  I have a 18 month old Working Cocker Spaniel she is on the small side and trying to find a jacket that fits her is really hard. She has the length of a cocker but not the girth. The jacket is very easy to put on. When I do, I have to twist the belly strap a couple of times before attaching the velcro to the sides. This is not a problem and does not hinder her walking or running. I love the tartan look. The black puffer side is great too but trying to spot a chocolate Cocker in a forest at dusk is not as easy. I wear her harness over it as it's easier to clip her lead on. She has been wearing this jacket this during the winter here in Scotland and it does keep her neck and back dry and warm. She loves to roll in the snow with one shake the snow comes off the jacket and does not stick. The jacket drys quickly when you pop it on the radiator. It washes well and hold its shape. I have one very happy stylish Working Cocker.
