I wanted to cut holes for solar lights in my decking. The decking was about 38mm thick and it seems to me that all cutting depths from al makes is about 30mm. I am about to order a pre-cut worktop for my office, it also has a depth of about 38mm so how I'm going to cut a couple of holes for the wires I don't know. The decking I'd get as far as I could then knock out the "hole" with hammer and chisel, then start again. I was a pain in the …Yours was the 3rd hole saw I had to buy as I think once you chisel out some wood to decrease the necessary depth the pilot bit was probably a bit loose and they snapped. I only saw one hole saw with a deeper cutting depth but it cost £49 which I thought was too much for me, but I probably spend about 75% of that on rebuying drills

This item arrived safe and well packaged.This is a lovely little hole saw.I have been using this to create holes in my DIY garden bar. I've made a section that will hold bottles of wine and spirits, and this hole cutter is the right size.This large and very sharp hole saw has increased the reliability and consistency of my cutting, drilling perfect holes throughout the build projects. This is just the right size to thread through a bottle and hold it in place. The middle part of the drill has prevented any splitting and helped centre the holes perfectly every time.I highly recommend this product.

Absolute rubbish, pilot drill snapped on first use. Was attempting to drill a 20mm hole in a metal clad consumer unit (which already had a 5mm hole drilled in it). The saw part then skated over the brand new consumer unit resulting in unsightly paint loss. Finished the job using a Makita hole saw. Steer clear of this junk unless you only plan on drilling cheese or chocolate... Money wasted. Not happy!

It worked well for the first few handful of times I used it. The centre drill bit (to guide the drill) became undone and when I tried to tighten it back in place the nut was stripped. Not sure if it was just this particular item that was faulty.Tried to order a replacement nut but supplier advised to contact Amazon for a return, which is the option I pursued.

Bought this to cut drainage holes in bottomof wooden barrel (for use as planter).Drill bit cut through OK but still hard to remove the core from the bit.

How to fix a hole? Make a bigger one to fit the right size grommets. Good clean cut through metal and very compact. And not a bad price either

Whilst drilling the third hole in a bit of sheet steel the central guide bit snapped and you can see why as it’s made from low grade materials. Don’t buy.

Was delivered on time & was excellent for what I needed it for & still sharp cutting holes would recommend this to anybody 👍
