Cussler at his best
I have read every Clive Cussler book published, his collaborations with different co-authors have produced a number of top class characters and associated stories. This second in the series of "Issac Bell" novels is one of the best that I believe Cussler has written, a veritable page turner if there ever was one.The first in the series "The Chase" was an excellent read also and I have placed the next one in the series on Pre-order.Cussler is a prolific writer, sometimes hard to keep up with his output but well worth the effort in doing so.If you haven't read him don't expect a deep meaningful story with deep complex characters just a well structured, well researched rapid moving and exciting novel.Try it!

Not Completely Wrecked
A Clive Cussler is usually an excellent way to wind down. His books tend to be fairly formulaic but they are generally entertaining, well paced and fun. In other words - I read Cussler because I can usually expect a reliably good read for the ticket price. The Wrecker does not live up to the usual standard. It is not a bad book in itself but it lacks the flow of the average Cussler. If a friend offered it I would read it, but, if you are looking to buy, I think this is the traditional airport paperback. Hardback is perhaps not the way to go.

Very little CC input IMO
Boring, didn't finish, too long, padded out storyline. From reading earlier CC books this seemed to have very little of CC's input. Will not pursue the series....

A good read
I liked the book.I have read quite a lot of Clive Cusslers books and up to now have liked them all.The story began and I thought to myself I hoped it would improve, and it did! getting to the point where I did not want to put it down. Strongly recommended to those who like a good plot.

Clive Cussler, The Wrecker
The Wrecker I am a great fan of Clive Cussler; I think the Isaac Bell adventures are a great read, and hard to put down. It is set in the early 1900's and describes America in those days well as backdrop for the great detective story. It's moving, well written and has great pace. If you like the Numa adventures and Oregon files, you will love the Isaac Bell adventures. All 3 books: The Chase, The Wrecker and the Spy are fantastic reads. I can't wait for the next episode(s). The Wrecker
