Q: How breathable is it? I live in the South where humidity is everywhere and it gets hot under a poncho!

As far as ponchos go, it is open at the bottom of course and between the side snaps, that are very good quality. However, and do not get me wrong but the Senmortar poncho may be a better choice for male. They have the military type two sided snaps. Shop a little more, you'll get the picture clear. Ponchos may have a tendency to collect perspiration on the inside in some conditions. A nice Mountain Hardware top and bottom makes a nice addition. A three piece rain suit? The poncho keeps the back pack dry. Lately I have been experimenting with polyester compression gear as a cool base layer. The rain suit may feel clammy next to your skin. Good laughing at the weather scout!

Cut it or maybe try to fold it?
