Magical book Indeed
Fortunate that Kindle Unlimited recommended this book fir me . Concept of analysing Hogwart teachers in itself is a fantastic concept . Intertwining it with current schooling systems and teachers is is fabulous . Interspersing with personal thoughts , experiences and anecdotes makes this an out of world reading experience . The scale of research and adapting it appropriately in the theme of the book is superlative . The book is gripping to even general readers like me , who don't even have connection with teaching fraternity . I will recommend this book to anyone who likes interesting reads . Ofcourse having read complete Harry Potter series , including Pottermore is a prerequisite . Watching all movies gives better visualisation . I very sincerely congratulate the author . As well add my gratitude for a good read .

Interesting and heartfelt
As a harry potter fan and an educator myself, this book really resonated and I wondered why I didn't think of doing such a study of these teachers. Most of the insights on the teachers and their qualities were something I agreed upon and it triggered my own thinking. It gave me space to reflect my own experiences with students. Keeping the book as personal narrative ensured it didn't seem preachy.

very touching
As a daughter of two educators I truly enjoyed reading the assessments of the characters I’ve grown to love or read about so many times. Very educational and inspiring. I hope I can affect someone’s lives as much as this teacher seems to affect her students. Well written.

A great read for all Muggle Teachers!
When I saw this title pop up in my Kindle Unlimited queue, I immediately borrowed it. I thought that the subject matter was very thought-provoking, especially as a teacher who loves the Harry Potter series. It is often easy to criticize the teaching styles of others, especially those who are fictional. However, it is through much introspection by the author that, like every other teacher, she learns that she has characteristics (both good and bad) of every Hogwarts teacher. This book was a very easy read which was both entertaining and enciteful.

Great analysis
As a Harry Potter enthusiast and a former teacher, I truly enjoyed the thoughtful analysis put forward regarding the teaching styles of the Hogwarts professors. While we muggles don't get to enjoy waving a wand and solving whatever problem we face, we can still glean a great deal from the books, and the author did just that. She even included a chapter on Professor Sinistra! (Short, though it was 😆) No Hogwarts Professor was neglected, and all received equal treatment in the discussion of good and bad qualities (though some obviously had more of one than the other *cough, cough* Umbridge *cough, cough* lol.Overall, an excellent read. This book can be enjoyed by teachers and non-teachers alike, though at least a passing interest in Harry Potter is probably desired, if not needed.

Fun connection, provocative reflection
I loved finding this book at the intersection of life and imagination. Danielle’s approach tempers the emotional realities of teaching with the fantasy of the wizarding world allowing for a more reflective study than we can sometimes bear with a direct look. Aided by a fantastic honoring of the rules and language of the wizarding world, this book humbled me to the idea that in different situations i may resemble a wide variety of characters. A salient message from the book is that I will be proud at some connections and cringe at others and those reactions provide useful feedback regarding how to act in the future. I am not a teacher by occupation, but the book hilights that we all have opportunities to teach and some strategies for doing so lead to better outcomes than others.

Very interesting use of Harry Potter/ Hogwarts.
The author accomplishes her aims very well. What better use of HP/ HWS than to talk about different teaching styles? It's a great idea, and she does it well. And she's a teacher herself so, even better. Some of the " personal anecdotes" drag a bit, but overall, very readable.
