The fact that this product exists is really great. It's a simple (in design) well packaged consumer product. It really is an incredible do-it-yourself project. For me, it was perfection.However, you may wish to watch the online sample install videos first. They are excellent. Some of my corners didn't snap-in well, or stay together during later pulls. The magnet is not super strong. The tape glue isn't super strong either, so make sure you clean your frame well and don't change those strips after. One could use glue I suppose. There have been instances when unfolding to get at window handles would result in the entire thing coming down. But that was with non-experienced users doing it. I ended up just putting duct tape along the tops to avoid that.For me, there was no other easy solution available. So the fact that this affordable, well-designed, easy-to-install kit is available, is absolutely incredible. However, you have to be flexible in your short-term and long-term expectations. If you're not willing to accept that, go pay substantially more for more custom professional solutions.

I could not get past step 2 of the instructions....and step one was to wash the area to be used. The "strong magnet" is useless. The adhesive on the back of it does NOT stick. It kept falling off the wood window frame. Since I could not get past that second step, I cannot even comment on whether these things work at all. I bough 4 of these kits. Complete waste of money

I liked the idea of cut and make your own size screen, but there are some issues with it.First, with the magnetic strips and plastic trim cover being rolled up for packaging, those pieces don’t easily unroll and stay unrolled. You’ll need to roll them the other way to help straighten, and keep tweaking them to be straight. Since they roll back up a bit on their own, it makes it harder for the magnetic strips to always stay attached to each other.Second is, the magnetic strip that sticks to the window, the sticky part isn’t that sticky. I had to use small dabs of glue (not ideal) to help hold the strips to the window.What I do like is the screen is soft, flexible, easy to cut, seems tough, and any exposed edges won’t cut your hand!The product is OK, but I’m instead going to look for a premade adjustable screen instead. Think like a baby gate style kind of adjustable design.

I purchased 3 of them. The first one worked great it had a metal frame around so the magnets attached right to it. The last 2 had plastic frame. I cleaned them both off really good got all of the dirt and oils but I couldn't get the magnet to attach itself to it. I used super glue on the first magnet to attach to window frame one I did that it all worked as advertised.

quality product...Not as easy to put together but works well!I am pleased!

We have tried to stick this up 4 times and it literally just jumps off... I now have a pile of magnetic strip! I thought I followed directions like it said but it didnt matter, this product did NOT work and I just threw it in the trash! Money wasted!!

I wanted this to work so bad but it’s not quite there. The magnets need to me a lot stronger to keep the screen taut. It also will not work if the frame where you need to adhere it to moves, or is not entirely exposed (ie there’s an overhand over the surface where you need to put the strip at). Part of its issue is a design flaw (which is big) and part of it is being unlucky with the window option you may have.

I have an outward opening swing window (there's probably a proper name for that, but I don't know it) which is an odd shape - about 40 wide by 18 high. We like to keep it open in most weather but have been bothered with mosquitos. There is a metal frame around the window and I couldn't find a pre-made window screen that would work. I saw this product and figured it was worth a try. When it arrived it looked a little intimidating to install, but I completed the job (and it looks great) in about 20 minutes. All it took was a sharp kitchen knife and pair of scissors. The screen is find and solid enough to keep out the bugs, and because it has 2 magnetic strips that form a seal, it's easy to peel it away to adjust the window. Very happy with this handy and flexible product. Would purchase again.
