Good but I like the grey one better
The grey one has more sounds. This one has more white noise/static/fan/vacuum sounds and way more music. If that's what your kid likes then this is for you.

Orange VS Gray Breakdown
These are definitely NOT the same. We purchased our first dreamegg in Gray in Feb 2022 and our son had no complaints or issues. The noises on the gray were a bit more diverse and included his favorite sound of the Babbling Brook. The others just didn't do it for him. He still uses the egg with brook noise happily, almost one year later. He is currently 16m. We decided to get a back-up egg to have on hand in case we need it during a power outage or in case our son walks off with it and hides it (he loves doing this).Well, we noticed that there was a new orange color and thought that would be a great option as it would be easy to know which was which. We didn't really think it would be a big change, but it definitely was. While I agree some of the sounds on the gray one were probably needing to be swapped out (i.e. the restaurant noises/chatter sound) they also got rid of the babbling brook and instead the water options were Ocean and a Rainstorm. Both sounds, even at the highest volume, were not loud enough to drone out some of the basic household noises for his room, they were much too quiet. And that's saying something since we use our current Dreamegg with Babbling Brook on the mid-level sound, not even the highest, and it works great. The Ocean is kind of a wash as soooo many other noises on the egg sound close to it. The shushing, the womb noises, the fan noises, etc. etc. The rainstorm sounds okay, but the somewhat unfamiliar noise of thunder breaking in the clouds really just distracted our son. For a kid who naps consistently 2.5-3hrs a day and usually goes straight to sleep after being put down (maybe within 2m), he stayed awake for 20m adjusting to the noises and being distracted by all the movement in the sound. He also woke up 3 times during nap time, and wouldn't go back down after 2hrs.Maybe if you start with the orange egg when they're small enough to adjust to it and just feel it's a routine noise they hear it won't bother them, but ultimately.. although the color was vibrant, cheerful and overall really great, the sounds were not what any of us wanted, and the volume on some of the sounds was not enough to keep standard noises droned out. And this is coming from someone who lives about 30ft from a railway. Returning the orange one and buying another gray one is our ultimate solution.

Best purchase!
We absolutely love our Dream Egg. The battery life lasted three days the first time we used it. My boyfriend always charges it now so I couldn’t tell you the life length now (three months later.) We have it on sound every night for our little one and it lasts until midday and then some for sure! The light is adjustable as well (must hold it down for a few seconds and the brightness changes). I love that feature! This is so helpful during feeding time and when I wake up to check on our baby. There are a lot of different sound options if you click the buttons multiple times. I was bummed because the wave sound is too separated so the next crashing wave does startle her and will wake her up (that was a bummer). We take our Dream Egg with us everywhere and get many questions and quite a few strangers have said they’ll be getting one! The light can be very bright, and the sound can get a nice high volume. We take it everywhere we go. She loves to watch the light for brighter/darker so it’s also a nice little distraction! The only downside was the clip that came with the egg, it didn’t actually stay shut or latched so I threw it away. I’d hate for that to be the reason we lost this thing!Overall, it’s been one of our favorite buys!

Pretty much essential for 0-3months
This thing was a life saver for my wife and I for those first 3months, really helps drowned out other noises. We still use it occasionally now that he's 8 months old if we are traveling. To use it effectively, turn it up louder than you might expect. Remember, noises from inside the womb were louder than you might think, so turning up the volume a tad isn't going to hurt anything and you will probably get better results.

LIFESAVER
This this is amazing. I purchased the white one when my 3rd was born. Once we transitioned to his own bedroom, we realized we couldn’t sleep without it. So I purchased another one for our room. We have taken ours all over with us. Shopping in the stores, I would wear my baby in a baby wrap. Then I would tuck the sound machine next to him, to keep him soothed while we shopped. It’s perfect for hanging on the car seat, crib.
