I wish I had bought it earlier!
It Really keeps the hair away! I am a Pet Groomer and this jacket is a great solution for me. Usually, I spend a lot of money and time passing rolls on my clothes before washing them, even in my bra! Its lightweight fabric (Nylon) does the job perfectly! I got gray, a beautiful color, it matches many of my smocks.

Measurements are not correct.
Shoulder width was 5" smaller that stated for a Medium size. Had to return for that reason. Otherwise it was a good quality item.

Probably won't hold up with frequent use
I bought this to use for trimming, lightening, and dying my own hair at home.I have 3 dogs and perform basic grooming on them by myself. I would not use this top while grooming my medium (45 lbs) dog who has thick nails and who tends to pounce on me during his bathing and drying time. I would not feel comfortable storing heavy clippers or shears in the pockets for any amount of time. Only small, cheap, and/or non-dangerous items. This top worked well for the purpose I bought it for. Small hair clippings were easy to brush/knock off with my hand and wipe away with a damp wash cloth. The cover adequately protected my skin from the hair lightener. I wiped off all splotches of lightener using a damp paper towel. Then I used the top to protect my skin from hair dye. It worked well for that, too.I accidentally spilled globs of fairly dark hair dye on the top, but I didn't bother to wipe it up right away. A lot of the dye stayed on the top for at least 10 minutes before I wiped the majority of it off with only a paper towel. I even let my dye-covered hair drape down my back while I worked on the rest of my hair. I didn't notice any evidence of the dye soaking thru. My skin & light undergarment were not stained. So, I believe it acted as a good barrier against both chemical hair products, which were between a cream and creamy liquid consistency.I lent this top to a family member who also needed it for the same purpose. She wore her "old hair dying t-shirt" under the top, so she couldn't tell if any color had bled thru. However, she said it was useful and that she'll probably be asking to borrow it again. The top seems flimsy and very thin. But so far, it has lasted through 2 rounds of hair lightening/dying and 2 rounds in a washer machine. I honestly doubted the top would do much to protect my skin from the hair lightener and dye given how thin it is. But it actually worked. The zipper closure is handy. It made it easy to put on/take off without accidentally transferring dye on my skin or other things. The pockets were a little too shallow and very flimsy, though. I tried to put a long comb and a brush in them, but both easily fell out. The pockets are adequate enough to hold large alligator clips and what not. The fabric was too flimsy for me to feel comfortable putting my hair-cutting shears in the pockets. I was worried the longer shears might accidentally fall out, and that both the longer and shorter shears would easily puncture the fabric. Both are very sharp, so I was very concerned about them landing on my feet if they fell out or through the pockets.I'm 5'6, currently 135 lbs, have slightly broad shoulders, an athletic figure, and wear a 34C bra size and a Women's US Small in tops. I got the size medium, short sleeve, dark gray top. The fit was mostly good, but I noticed it was slightly tight around the shoulders, just behind my armpits, whenever I raised my arms over my head. It wasn't constricting enough to cause me any problems, but it was just something I noticed. (I guess it was surprising bc the top seems to fit extremely loose when I'm in a normal standing position.) My family member has smaller shoulders, but is far more bustier than me. She felt the top was slightly constricting near the front of her armpits/upper bust area when her hands were raised above her head or when reaching for items on a high shelf. The top is loose overall, but it has absolutely no stretch in any area. So, give some consideration to this info in if you plan to buy this item. There is a lot of room in the neck area, so there's no need to worry about it being constricting there. Still, it's adequate enough to cover many styles of tops, including some very loose crew neck shirts. Collared tops and tighter fitting crew neck shirts likely won't be fully protected around the neck area.Don't expect the top to be flattering. (At least not on thinner framed bodies). It's very boxy and the material doesn't drape nicely. I didn't buy this top for style, so I'm okay with the not so flattering shape. The length was long enough to cover the very short bicycle shorts I wore when cutting and dying my hair. The short sleeves made it easier to move my arms around and prevented me from accidentally knocking things over with poofy long sleeves. (There were many instances I was thankful I opted for the short sleeves.) The sleeves were just long enough to protect my shoulders and upper arms and to offer modest coverage all around.Although mostly boxy, the part of the top that covers your torso slightly tapers outwards towards the bottom. This would probably be nice for anyone who has a pear-shaped body. But it was also a nicer cut than a completely square, boxy top for several other reasons. I didn't have to worry about too much excess fabric around my upper torso. This was convenient when I had to reach over bowls and bottles. I could still comfortably wear a loose fitting shirt under the top if I wanted. There's good air flow coming in from the bottom. (Though, overall air flow may have a lot to do with the fabric thinness, too). There's no constriction at the waist and hip area. So, no problems bending and twisting while wearing this top. And the slightly wider bottom helped to catch some accidentally dripped dye that otherwise would have landed on my feet or the floor.I might buy this item again for the same purpose I got it for.I could see it working okay for very basic dog grooming tasks. But it seems like the material would be easily snagged and the pockets easily rip if handling a large, feisty dog.I wouldn't recommend this item if you need a top with reliable pockets to hold scissors, large/long/bulku items, expensive items, or just a lot of items. (I tried to carry a half filled, narrow shampoo bottle in one of the pockets. I only did this bc my hands were full. The bottle stayed in my pocket while I walked... until I *slightly* bent over to place some items on a short table in my bathroom. The bottle - along with a couple other small items - just slid right out... very easily and too quickly for even the swiftest, free-handed person to expect to catch.)Again, this is not a very flattering top. Aside from the shape, it just looks cheap. So if you're searching for something glam, polished, or even just very professional looking, this is not it.Basically, this top is just good for the occassional incidents where you anticipate you might get a little messy for a short period of time.I think this is a basic and convenient top for the price I paid. It's certainly a way better barrier than an old t-shirt and more practical than the barber's capes sold at local stores. If I can get another 8 ultra messy uses out of this, I'll be satisfied.Once this top is no longer useful, I will probably look for something similar with longer and stronger pockets and more durable fabric. If I can't find anything like that for a decent price, I'd buy this item again. It's not bad, but it's not exactly "great" either. It just works for the main purpose I bought it for.
