This is an OEM part.
Apparently this product is exactly what's already in the server, same brand, stickers, etc. Easy replacement.Also, no end of fun with, "The server needs more Tecate!" In case you're not aware, Tecate is also a brand of Mexican beer made in the town it's named after.

Works as advertised
Purchased this item for a server at work that didn't have any cache backup battery. Works like a champ, my server is much happier and file transfers and backups run much faster than without this addition. Great addition.

Capacitor Pack
Works as described. I think it is better than the battery pack due to the issues of heat and battery decline with age. I already have a pack-up UPS so I just need to keep the raid card data till I start to restart the server.

Lasted less than 6 months. Maybe wasn't new?
I bought this replacement battery pack back in March 2024 and installed it a few weeks later in my HPE ProLiant DL320e Gen8 v2 server with a Smart Array P222 controller and 512 MB cache module. In less than 6 months, it seems to have failed. I've reached out to the seller and will wait for a response to see if or how they'll stand behind the product they sold me.I know batteries are inherently unreliable but certainly should get a solid year out of a factory-fresh pack!
