I absolutely love this bookshelf! It took me a little over an hour to put together by myself (over 65), but the instructions were very easy to understand. The item itself is well made and perfect for little hands. My grandson (4 years old) loves it! I highly recommend for a child’s playroom or bedroom!

TLDR-Definitely recommend if you are looking for something fun (meaning not plain) for a young kids room which isn't plastic.My little boy is completely obsessed with trucks, like seriously obsessed. I've been trying to find fun furniture or decor to spice up his room which reflect his interests. Which as it turns out is surprisingly difficult in the furniture department for a toddler, unless you want plastic cartoon character stuff. I originally saw the firetruck version and was hard pressed to pick between the two. Finally landed on this one and have no regrets. It was easy to put together, less than 30 minutes easy. The design of the sides is unique and stands out. The shelves hold a surprising number of books and the little drawer at the bottom is useful for tucking away some of the overwhelming number of toys kids seem to have appear out of nowhere.The only minor drawback is that it isn't super stable. It's definitely not going to just fall to pieces or collapse under the weight of books or toys. But as it is lightweight(which I personally like) and not solid wood, there is bound to be a small sense of "am I going to break this if I knock it into something while moving it?"Only other thing to mention is the price. At first I was a little taken aback by the thought of spending that much for a small kids bookcase. But then I looked at other options out there. If it is cheaper it's not going to be as fun/unique or its going to be plastic. My priorities in what I was looking for made the price worth it.

This is one nice unit. I have only three CONS. 1. It looks like it has 2 drawers and it is just one big one. 2. The drawer falls out when you open it, it needs a slide to hold it in. 3. it has the longest screws that I have ever seen for something you need to put together. They are phillips head so it takes two people to put the screws in (one to hold the thing and one to screw because it takes a lot of pressure to keep from stripping the heads out). My wife could have not put it together by herself and she has put lots of thing together. If the manufacture would put allen head screws it would solve the problem.Pros.1. the long screws, it is built great to hold up for years of use with heavy loads of books. 2. It is carved and painted to it has a lot of great texture to it. 3. Our boy loves it 4. It looks cool and has a great paint job.I would buy it again

After taking some time to research kids bookshelves and then having built one of these, I can confidently state that this product is relatively easy to build (don't rush with the screw driver), has a beautiful dinosaur design, and can fit many books and toys. The lettered stickers identifying the various parts could be easier to take off, I struggled to peel a couple of them off cleanly. The paint job was also not perfect, but I doubt these are painted by hand given the pricing.

This is the cutest little bookcase! My son has a woodland animal themed room. After he graduated to a goodlier bed, he had some room for toys & books but I had no where to put them. I saw this & though it was too expensive for the type, I bought it. It was very easy to assemble but it is a little flimsy. The drawer squeaks even though we double checked everything was assembled properly. It does work & it is adorable & it gets the toys/books off the floor. So it was cute; too expensive, but certainly cute.

I got this product for my toddler. This product arrived when it was supposed to. I think it’s absolutely worth the money! It was so simple to assemble! I wish all shelves were made this way! It’s super sturdy! And comes with a safety wall mounts strap so I’m comfortable knowing he won’t pull this over onto himself. The drawer at the bottom is actually pretty sizable as well! I loved this so much I bought the dinosaur shelf from the same company for my 6 year old! Would recommend Fantasy Fields! I so hope they produce another space an dinosaur toy chest because I will be purchasing those as well!!!

My son is disappointed there is no airplane but he still loves this book shelf! Like a few reviews I read there were a couple of scuffed or scratched spots but it just looks like my son did it so I’m not worried about them.Putting it together was very easy except I wish it specified to make sure the green piece and the tan piece were screwed together. (There’s two of each labeled the same letter) Seems obvious now, but it wasn’t in the moment. Nothing holds the drawer in place so it comes out completely if you take it out.The grooves on the shelves looked weird in the photos but they’re great! They keep the books from sliding all the way down.Pricey but very worth it! I had to wait for prime day to purchase but if I had the money I would absolutely pay full price for this.

This is more stable than any other bookshelf I’ve owned. The screws on the side are clearly visible, but not too distracting from the design. It comes with a nice little strip to attach it to the wall. My only complaint is that the drawer is kind of hard to open and close
