PERFECT!
Sometimes cats are opposed to the things we get them, like a tower or a scratcher that they just ignore no matter how you slather it with catnip. These stairs though, my cats started using them the moment I set them out. It's soft enough with enough texture that they can grip it easily, and it's firm enough that it doesn't compress at all under their weight. It's heavy enough and has enough friction against the floor that it doesn't move around easily. For elderly cats who can no longer leap up to where they need to go, the target market for such things, that stability is the number one most essential detail, for their safety. Wiping out on a smooth plastic or wooden ramp, or having a lightweight set of cardboard steps shift under them or a soft foam step squish too much, can send them falling and leave lasting pain. So I am happy about these steps because they are very safe! I have no idea what weight of pet would cause the steps to become unstable, like would they cave in under a larger dog. All I can say is that my largest cat is 16lbs and he has as much impact on the device as a fly landing on it would. Even when his 10-lb buddy runs up next to him on the stairs, the stairs do no compress or slide. I'm pretty sure an animal of 30-40lbs could use these just fine, at least, maybe even a lot bigger.I bought it for a trip we took to get our oldest cat seen at a specialist clinic in the city, thinking because it's foam I could squash it to cram it into the trunk, then unfurl it at the hotel to let the cat climb up to the window or bed. But it doesn't squish in the slightest and it's kind of enormous so not a great travel option. We ended up just using a homemade ramp for him, made of planks and C-clamps. But I'm still happy we got this because it's been very handy around the house.I like the look too, nice elegant but bland fabric that is easy to ignore. I hate when pet products are cutesy or cheap looking and ruin your decor! This cover is removable too so you might try dyeing the cloth, and of course you can wash it which is great. If you are sensitive to chemicals like I am you may worry about foam offgassing. I did air this out in the sun for a day as a precaution but smelled nothing, and haven't had any symptoms like sinus pain, so I think it is not offgassing anything. Nice inert, high quality foam.

Excellent for a high bed
This item is perfect with my new thick mattress. My small dog was able to jump up or down on the thinner mattress, but she fell once (not injured) and my other steps were too short. I had to retrain her with treats, but she uses it now without treats. This is a large step. The bottom sticks out about 36 inches. My room is large enough to allow for it, but I have turned it sideways to allow more room for me to pass through as I am a little wobbly. I like the fabric cover because she feels more secure than on plastic steps. The steps are generous, both in width and depth, making the dog more secure. Probably too high for your couch, but if you have a high bed with a thick mattress, it is worth every penny.

Perfect stairs for 15 pound Cat
I had already created a makeshift "stairs" using various sized foot stools, but after getting a new mattress topper, I needed something a little taller.I took a risk and ordered a "Used - Like New" for $28 version that, per the description, was basically "only opened." It arrived exactly like that: it only appears that it had been opened (no pet fur or other signs of use). The foam is incredibly dense making the stairs very solid. My 15 pound cat, already accustomed to the make-shift stairs, had no problems using it and hardly indents the foam. It is only 4 pounds, but seems fine on carpet/rug.I wanted to have the stairs sit against the bed via the side of the stairs, but too much weight on the top stair would topple it backwards. My favorite part is simply that now, if I accidentally kick this with my foot, it won't hurt my toes.

Works for my cat to climb up on the bed.
I like the color & how light it is to lift. It is the perfect size and my cat loves it. My only concern is that after it’s used for awhile that it starts breaking. Hopefully not. Especially at the price. As long as no issues with it falling apart then I am completely satisfied. I would also recommend this product for other people with cats that is not able to jump up on the bed or even a couch. But if it’s for a couch you may want a smaller one. I’m so happy that it has made it easier for my cat to get up on the bed. I used toPut things down to make steps but now I no longer need to since I have this. Thank you for making things easier for my baby(cat).

Works very well and is sturdy, a little large
Helps the little ones get up to those higher places.Sturdy foam that can take quite a bit of weight (wouldn't try standing on it, but works for pets). The steps are short enough for pets with shorter legs or aging joints.

Dog quickly used them
I got this as a gift for my mom's dog who is capable but often scared to jump on and off the bed. My mom has gotten stairs for her dog before but they were a wood material with a fabric strip. Her dog would not use them. I figured he might use these steps due to the fabric and cushion steps and I was right! Within a few hours, he was using thea stairs. The cushioned yet stable comfort is what made him comfortable to use them. The stairs are of good quality, soft yet firm. I would greatly recommend.

Slip Resistant
My dog turned 10 and started tripping while going up and down the steps she's been using since a puppy. All of a sudden I guess due to her age she kept slipping, and I needed to find something with grip. These steps have worked wonders! Two years later and my dog has not had any incidents falling while going up or down them.

Exactly what we needed
We needed a lightweight narrower stair set that was still tall enough for to allow our dogs on the RV bed. This worked perfectly and fit right between the bed and the wall. Dogs love it and we don't have to worry about any injuries trying to jump up or down. Great product. Would definitely buy again.
