The lid is better than the one the pump came with. I own a pool service business and purchased this lid for a customer who's lid had cracked. It was easier and cheaper than me getting it from my wholesale supplier. I always buy a Val-Pak aftermarket part if it's available. I even use Val-Pak over must OEM parts. They take a part see how the it fails and redesign it. It's always better.
