Worked great for LG Microwave LMHM2237
Our micro stopped heating the food but still had power. After searching online & reading how many of this LG model LMHM2237 microwave had the magnetron go on the fritz, we got the run-around from LG (they claim the magnetron carries a 10 year warrantee) about sending us a new one.Hubby does this kind of work at his job so we took a chance & bet this magnetron on Amazon could replace the broken one inside the unit...and we were right. It is the same as the original and it worked like a charm. He removed a bunch of screws and took the side plate off the front (the blank piece right next to the micro door). I printed up a wiring diagram from the web but he really didn't need it. It took more time to put the micro back together with all the screws than it did to replace the magnetron. !!BEWARE OF ELECTROCUTION!! Even if the micro is unplugged/has no power, there can be power still built-up in the piece next to the magnetron, so he waited till our micro had been unplugged for at least 1 day before starting the work. However, it's best to hire an electrician to do the replacement since it can be dangerous but hubby does this as part of his everyday work so he was comfortable that it was safe for him to do it while I helped get stuff he needed and hold sides while he screwed them in. It was def helpful having an extra set of hands when putting the unit back together. !!ELECTROCUTION RISK!! For us, this magnetron worked out perfectly, saving us so much time and money compared to trying to hire someone to do it for us.

Already broke, didn’t last a year
Bought this to repair my GE microwave. The unit itself was oriented differently than the original. (The mounting holes and orientation of where the cable attachments are.) It still worked since there is a decent amount of space in the unit, but it wasn’t ideal.Unfortunately, it has already failed. This time, instead of just not working. My microwave starts crackling, maybe some arcing inside (not willing to check) and smells like burning plastic. It’s a pretty bad chemical smell. Google searching the issue pretty much all point towards the magnetron. So, here I am with another magnetron failure.

Perfect fit, exactly like the OEM one that came out of the microwave.
10 minute fix for a microwave oven that had stopped working, and was making growling noises. I replaced the Magnetron and the diode at the same time. Both of these items are generally the reason why microwave ovens stop working. Take the back cover off, and DISCHARGE THE CAPACITOR!!! I use a set of needle nose pliers with rubber handle grips, and I'll put on a latex glove just for a little added protection. Even if the microwave has been unplugged for a couple of days, it's a very, very good idea to ensure the capacitor is discharged. At that point, it's a simple procedure to replace the magnetron. This one went into a LG countertop microwave, and I recommend finding the correct diode for your oven and just doing both at the same time.
