Fb group I'm apart of that spends the majority of their focus on researching materials does recommend this for face masks because it is non-woven and holds a static charge. You should look out for polypropylene that it's designed for outdoor use because they have harmful chemical coatings. Same with fusible interfacing. The other recommended interfacing is pellon 910
