I don't do 5 star reviews
Like the title says. I reserve 5 star reviews for products that exceed my expectations. These boots meet/exceed all of my expectations. I ordered 11.5W, that's where I start with all my footwear. These boots are exactly what I interpret as 11.5W.The soles are wide enough that I feel planted. The leather is very well finished. The cuffs are plush and felt comfortable with some high cut socks.I used the Amazon try before buy thing. Although I didn't need to use it, the boots came with return labels and instructions. That would have been really useful, had I needed it.The only gripe I have, I wish the laces were longer. When using all the eyelets, I barely have enough lace to tie them. I have some fat ankles though. All in all, these are my first Tim's. I'm pretty blown back by the quality, fit and feel. I've bought Danners, Rockys and Oakleys while in the Army for 10 years. I wish Timberland got into the combat boot realm, because these are great.

Hubby Luvs them
I'm a true Timberland woman. But I have bought my husband a couple of pair. These were for his birthday present. Slip resistant even when we ryde our motorcycles. Durability is great. Scuff resistance but buy the kit to keep them clean. Very comfortable and supports my arches. Can be worn with jeans, slacks, sweatsuits, etc. I recommend purchasing Timberland boots. I have my red ones on in the photo.

Size runs big
I ordered the 10 wide. Because I have a wide foot and high instep. I normally have to order a 10 1/2 if it’s only sold in a medium. It was too big. That was from a different vender and will gift them. I ordered the 9.5 wide and I can honestly say that I put these on and within 20 minutes felt like a pair of my best broke in sneakers, only better. I never owned a pair of timberland boots, bought some as gifts, but wow by the end of the day I thought I had my moccasins on. I honestly can say they are the most comfortable, best looking boots I have ever purchased. I would consider them a dress boot though. Not like my hunting boots.

Great boots - and they deserve wax and polish - to last longer
I like everything about them so far BUT these sizing comments - I found the opposite. I have worn 10 1/2 for years, but I don't buy boots every year and Now it's over 5 years since I got my Timberlands - and I'd scrupulously waxed and polished them each winter. Washed the salt off after walking through miles of salty slush, more wax...and then I realized I could not wear them this Winter - my feet had grown! [basically got wider and flatter - 70 years can do that] So I have to buy size 11 now - sometimes 11 Wide. SO there are many comments saying they are bigger, so order Down a size. I say - maybe not! I got mine in 11 and they fit like a glove and I gave the others to a secondhand store - cause they're still in great shape. If you find the right size, enjoy! [and get cushion inserts, another reason to size Up]
