This was a fantastic buy. The hat is well made for the price and has a nice amount of embellishments for a beginner's hat. Easy to use as is or as a base for something more. The hat itself has a velvety suede feel and the glasses are removable.Despite being shipped in a box, mine came in slightly damaged. The top of the hat was punched in on one side. Because of the box, I can only assume this happened either during storage or packing for shipment. At any rate, I laid it upside down on a table an gently pushed the crown back into place. You can hardly tell it was ever bent. Also, the tall feather got bent in storage. Another easy fix as I VERY gently bent it back.I am posting multiple photos so you can see each side of the hat.

I work in a Hat store in Texas, we sell every type of hat there is. All top quality. So when I ordered this little hat for my Halloween costume I did not expect much, but I was nicely surprised. It is made very well, it will hold up for many wears. My boss was impressed, he thought I spent over 100. He flipped when I told him the price. The fit is a little big if you have a small head, but nothing you can't cosmetically fix with adhesive weather strip, the spongy type. I would say this hat is a medium-large size or if you know your hat size it would be 7 3/8-7 1/2. I absolutely love MY Hat. Thank You Jacobson Hat Co. Let's face it: 2020 ruined a bunch of great holidays. But, we're trying to make the most of it, and when my high school senior said she wanted to dress up in steam punk attire for school for Halloween, I wanted to help her make the most of it. We already had base pieces (corset and such), so she only needed to find the finishing touches. This hat was pretty spectacular. She didn't like the goggles and ended up ordering a different pair, but we were both impressed with the hat itself and she looked great.

I have a decently large head and this hat fit almost perfectly. I'd say it was just a bit snug, but I wore it all night on NYE and it didn't bother me at all. The look of it is great! People kept asking me if I was a 'burner' (had been to burning man), and I'd imagine it would be a perfect hat to wear there!When the hat came I noticed the goggles were attached to the hat by tiny plastic clips. I didn't think the goggles would separate, but if you cut those plastic pieces the goggles can still stay on the hat, or come down to your eyes. The ONLY downside to the purchase was that the goggles didn't sit flat on my head. They were more of a hard plastic that met my nose at the nosepiece, but the lenses kind of just hovered over my eyes without touching my face. They still look great, but after a while I'd feel the pressure on my nose and have to take them off for a bit. I was able to bend them a little bit, but they felt like they'd snap if I kept going so I didn't push it.All in all for the price it absolutely completed my New Years Eve outfit and I can't wait for another weird event to pop up so I can wear it agian!

Love the fit and that it came in brown! Just dramatic enough and elegant--Victorian cool.

This hat was well made. Not flimsy at all. It fit great on my head. I have thick hair and I had plenty of room. I’m really happy with this hat

Received many compliments and raves from other drummers who wanted my hat. I did have to add a strip to make it fit tighter - it was too big for me. Also, in the race I used a lime green chiffon scarf to tie it on so it wouldn't fly off. In case.....

The hat was fine, but the color was not as advertised in the picture. Pic shows dark brown, it arrived a light tan. Didn't work with my Halloween costume at all. So returned it.
