At Last
This was the one I couldn’t wait to get to in this series. I had to restrain myself from jumping to it.Why? Because I wanted to see Ian find his person and I so wanted Frankie to be The One.Frankie had been travelling the world, footloose and fancy free until he found he had a 3 year old son. Now he needs to set down roots for a stable home for him. He had settled in an apartment in his brother Austin’s property.Ian has been hiding his feelings for Frankie since they first met at Austin’s house two years ago, following Frankie’s accident. They had become friends since then whenever Ian came down to visit his friends d Jasper. When the town decided to hold a Pride Event and Ian was appointed the man in the Kissing Booth, offering a kiss for $5, Frankie stepped up with his money, when the obnoxious Leroy was trying to get more than a kiss from Ian.That Kiss was all that was needed to get these talking about their friendship It took a while for Frankie to tell Ian about his sexuality, Frankie doesn’t like labels. Plus he had been keeping quiet about his attraction to Ian because Ian lived 3 hours away for his job as a Nurse. He was waiting for Ian to move down to Kirkby when he found a job in a hospital nearby. Frankie also had to consider his main priority, his 5 year old son Tyler. All wasn’t plain sailing though, someone was trying to cause problems between them. Frankie wasn’t going to let that happen.Yep, so I got my wish, it was more a novella compared to the earlier ones in the True-Blue series, but still an enjoyable few hours. All the earlier pairings have settled down, adopted their chosen dog/dogs in some cases. Not sure if there will be more in this series, I’ll miss all the characters in Kirkby.

Sweet romance
I've enjoyed all of the stories in this series, it's set in a small town, Kirkby, where the people are friendly and help one another out. Ian is just a love, he's like a big sensitive, cuddly teddy bear. He's everything you would want, in a guy, hot, fit, genuine and kind. The chemistry between Ian and Frankie, just poured from the page. They had a great connection and the romance between them was sweet. They shared some emotional and loving times together, Frankie's son was adorable, and together they made a sweet family. There's very little angst in the story, overall, it was fun, flirty with little drama.

A very welcome addition to the series
Independent reviewer for Gay Romance Reviews, I was gifted my copy of this book. This is book 4.5 in the True-Blue series, but can be read as a stand alone. You will, however, get a better feel of this group of men if you do.I will be honest, it's been a while since I read the other books in this series, and Ian and Frankie didn't immediately spring to mind, so I kinda went in to this blind, and I'm sorry for that. I don't think I gave them enough, you know? Once I got into their story, I placed them where they needed to be, but it took me a little time. This is pure, unadulterated, too stinking and warm and fuzzies all wrapped up in a love story! It's cute that Ian and Frankie have been lusting after each other for months and months. It's a pure kinda lust, you know? They feel *something* more can come of it, if they only take that step. The kissing booth at the Pride parade is a perfect starting point. Given that Ian isn't sure whether Frnakie is even on the rainbow, him turning up and kissing Ian's face off, is a massive hint! I loved that they didn't beat about the bush once the kissing-face-off started, they jumped straight in to a full blown relationship. Long distance, for sure, but still. Ian was already planning to move closer to Kirkby anyway. That there isn't a great deal of angst in this book was a major plus point. Yes there is a bit of a nutty ex, but what he does is mild compared to how Ms Seymour could have pushed that story line. I loved that she didn't.Most of the other guys in this series pop up, or are mentioned in some way. I loved being able to catch up with Jasper and Austin (Frankie's brother, book 4)A delightful read, that soothed away the pain of my first jab (May 2021, you do the maths!) in such a wonderful way. A very welcome addition to the series, even if Ian wasn't planned to have a story and us readers nagged enough that Ms Seymour gave in!4 super cute stars**same worded review will appear elsewhere**

Enjoyable friends to lovers romance
Our First and Last is a short and sweet small town romance between friends, Frankie and Ian.Ian currently only visits the small town of Kirkby when he can to see his friends and this time to join in with the first Pride festival. He is, however, constantly on the long hunt for a job in the area so he can move closer to his found family and maybe Frankie, the friend he's crushed in from afar for a couple of years. Frankie is in the same boat though, admiring Ian from afar, even his young son Ty loves the man. Their chance comes when Frankie steps in to save Ian from an unwanted customer at the kissing booth. FrustratingFrom there, the two men wise up to their attraction for each other and how well they go together. It's a heartwarming romance as they share therewith each other, and Ian is just as taken with Ty. Their video connection shines through from the start of the book and carries through the story. I love the friendship group that they have around them to share their joy and also receive support when things get tough when someone doesn't know how to take no for an answer. This is a really easy book to fall in love with and the characters drew me in from the start. I must go back and read the ones from the series that I've missed! Becca writes wonderful stories that has just enough drama to bring a little tension but it's mostly men falling in love and becoming a permanent member of the friendship group that's grown so much.I received an ARC and am happily giving a review.

Loved it!
Sigh….I love the town of Kirkby. This group of guys who make up one of the best groups of found family and friends is absolutely one of the best. I adore these kinds of series and books, just for the record. I am so glad that Ian is getting his story at last and we finally get to see what has been going on between him and Frankie since Austin and Jasper’s book. This one is kind of a companion book to #4 but if you have read that one yet, it’s ok. I do highly recommend you catch up on this lovely town though because you won’t regret it! Ian is a big strong handsome guy who often gets stereotyped by people who meet him, but he is actually a fluffy marshmallow who deeply cares about other people. He has been looking for a job closer to Kirkby for a while now because he is tired of the city and the stress of being an ER nurse, but getting closer and exploring the status change in his relationship with his friend Frankie just makes it more imperative. Frankie is entertaining ideas of his own, such as Ty having two parents who would love him instead of just one. He is aware that his family and friends in Kirkby may not be aware of his interest in partners but he has just never made a big deal out of it. If they can only get rid of the guy who seems to be stalking Ian, everything would work out just fine. This book is low angst (like the rest of this series) and is just an absolutely feel good read. You really need to check it out, especially if you like spicy and fluffy reads with lots of caring friends and (slightly) crazy older parents.

I love Ian
I thought Ian would end up getting paired up with Cody, but I loved how this worked out so much better! The story was adorable—just like the rest of the series—and I love how we get glimpses of other characters. I love how sweet Ian is & how much Ty loves him & idolizes him. I love that Frankie gets such a great HEA too, after everything he & Tyler went through.I hope karma takes a big bite out of Leroy’s butt cheek though!

Sweet
Good, sweet read. Not much angst. I wish the author would have explored a bit more into Leroy at the end. Otherwise a great read. This was my first book of hers I will look for more!

Feel good characters, Happy HEA!!
Ian is a likable character from the first introduction. His incident at the Pride kissing booth opens up the friendship with Frankie that soon progresses into much more. Ian’s only real problem is distance, which he’s trying to solve by changing jobs. His issues with an unhappy kissing booth customer seem to pose a problem, but Ian and Frankie sail through. The final solution to their distance issue is resolved as the book comes to a very happy ending… Good read!!
