Simple Houseware Over The Door Clothes Hanging Rod, Black

We bought this to provide extra hanging space over the back of the bedroom door.It is strong and takes quite a few hangers with clothes on it.We bought some of the Amazon basics metal hangers and they are also strong and good value for money.We would recommend these items.

This door clothes hanging rod is a good idea, but the door will not close when its on the door.

Takes up no space and is so useful! Firs over any door to get extra space to hang clothes. Perfect for our family room with sofa bed for when overnight guests visit!

I use this to hang up some laundry that cannot be put in the dryer. Very efficient and is a space saver. Easily assembled. Fits over the door without problems.

We are very luck to have a laundry room - even if only two people can squeeze in! As a result, there is little room to hang up some shirts as you remove clothes from the dryer, or the shirts wait for a quick ironing. This clever device hangs over the top of a door, and supports a thick rod that runs parallel to the door. The end result, is that you can easily hang shirts, pants, whatever you want, on the rod with a hanger, and the best part, the rod is far enough away from the door, that hangers will not rest on or strike the door. We can get several shirts on the bar without any issue.The inside of hanger has rubber bumpers placed along the length, so your door will not get damaged or scratched by the hanger. The top of the hanger actually goes over your door and down the other side a few inches. Our door stops (those small strips of wood that the door closes onto, that run around the whole door opening) are a bit too wide at the top of our door. The result is that we can leave our unit up and close the door - no issues. However, if you have proper door stops, you will probably need to remove the hanger in order to close the door completely. The good news is that it is easy to put up and take down. In fact, there are two quick release buttons, which allow you to collapse the whole hanger in seconds, and simply store it away, until next time.This is one of the products that you say, "I don't think I need that", but once you see it and try it, you won't go back. Very handy to have, I needed somewhere to hang my work clothes so I could see them at a glance and grab what I needed. It doesnt take up much space on the outside of the cupboard door and isnt in the way but doubles my hanging space. Great for a laundry for hanging up things to dry on hangers or for ironing too. Seems well made and is lasting well.
