Good packaging. it Came earlier than expected. It works flawlessly. Instructions are not too easy to follow. They come for technicians, but you can find in YouTube the way to program it. I know the good feature is that you can connect it wirelessly to your router with the batch board set up inside the router.

I'll start by saying this box really does monitor your inverter. It says it will do that, and it really does. Setting it up was fairly easy - running your cable to someplace inside is probably the hardest thing you have to do.Once you're logged in on the local device, you get some pretty animation. If you want to just sit and watch the animation run, you can. It will get boring quickly, though.The documentation says you can get reports of how your system is performing. Well, it does do that - barely. What does come out is basically useless for most anyone other than people with too much paper on hand.I am a PG&E customer, and I have a Rainforest Eagle that allows me to "tap in" on my electric meter, and I can get packets as often as every eight seconds giving me the status of my electrical information - most everything my electric meter is aware of. Yeah, it's geeky, yeah, it's possibly noisy, but there is a lot of good info there. The only thing I found lacking was how much electricity my solar panels were generating - all I can see is the net effect of how much - if any - I'm selling back to the utility.It was my hope that the InsightHome box would provide me a REST API that allowed me to poll the unit periodically - even minutely would do - and see how much generation was happening, how much the house was using, and how much was excess. Even a couple of these things would be enough to help derive the third. At present, the box really isn't useful as an information provider. Other than saving me a trip downstairs to look at the front panel display, I'm not seeing any real "insights" provided by InsightHome, unless I want to sit and watch it all update itself in my browser.I have other pressing needs on my diary that trump sitting and watching.The device is upgradable, and I can hope that down the road they add endpoints to get data and status.
