Q: I'm going to initially use only one of the output ports. Does this come with a plug to seal the unused 2nd output port from the water?

Yes, there is a small plug included in the hardware to fill the hole where the cable exits. You would then tighten the gland down on the plug to seal out water. I am not sure how effective it would be but I imagine a bit of silicone sealant would help if needed.
