Q: The white cover over the sticky part is so hard I can't get it off without ripping the magnet. Is there a trick to getting the white off?

The white side is not meant to be removed. It is not an adhesive backing. The white side is not magnetic the opposite side is.

Q: Can this be used in a cricut?

I have a Cricut and I use this with it! I tape my sheet down so it stays in place and I pick Magnet sheet, heavy from the custom drop down. It cuts beautifully.

Q: Any suggestions on cutting these? I need fairly straight strips, and not sure an exacto knife along a yard stick would cut a straight line.

Best bet would be to use a square used by carpenters ,they are metal and offer a good cutting edge usually around 7 to 15 $ depending on your local hardware store , also i would suggest a utility knife with retractable blade often used for cutting shingles and other things around the job site you can really push down with it, being that this sheeting is quite durable.

Q: This may be a stupid question, but will magnets stick to this?

It depends. I tried using magnets on this product and it still would not stick enough to stick onto a vent.
