OtterBox Detachable Folio Wallet (Case Sold Separately) for MagSafe - iPhone 12 Pro Max - Black

This is a product that many find hard to fathom. It's not a standalone case for the iPhone. Think of it as a MagSafe accessory that works with any MagSafe case to add a wallet and cover. Unlike the Apple wallets that only hold a couple of cards, this can hold 3 or 4 cards plus much more in its large slip pocket.I can use the phone in its case by itself to mount in my car or add a MagSafe battery. But most of the time I have a wallet and cover for my standard MagSafe case. You can use any MagSafe Case with it.It should be marketed as the only wallet/cover MagSafe accessory. I didn't quite figure this out until I bought it, because OtterBox does a lousy job of describing the product. No wonder people are confused. The product is made from leather-like vinyl and is well finished and lined. Probably won't last for many years, but for me it's the best solution I've been able to find that wants to use all functions of MagSafe, yet wants a compact wallet case.

This wallet holds cards and fits the phone. However it doesn’t have a way to secure the phone to the wallet. So if I open the wallet,The phone slides out. I can’t simply flip the cover to use the phone. This needs a band or way to secure the phone to the wallet.

at first i was wondering why the case was so floppy around my phone. Didn't realize the phone case was sold separately. But the good news was that the speck case (and most other thin magsafe cases will work with it. The magsafe on the folio is disappointing though. The magnet isn't that strong and doesn't let a charge through because of the leather (i think). I'd rather have a metal or plastic backing that would provide better magsafe performance. I don't really trust any magsafe accessories on the outer folio.I am replacing this one because the credit card innerpocket sort of came apart from useI did try a couple other versions of this and they were worse in bulkiness, and magsafe performance. So even though not perfect, this seems to be the best case out there for what i want.

Useful device for traveling, easy to attach/unattach from phone case.

Bought this to cover my screen when in my pocket since after going through their customer service multiple times (5 times), I am stuck with a phone case and 3 holsters which don’t work (none of which work due to design flaws that do not hold the phone). This cover does not in fact work with all Otterbox cases as the cover slips into the screen gap (not large enough to fit properly). The magnet is extremely weak and if I am holding the phone the case falls off (yes I am using an Otterbox MagSafe case). When you put it in your pocket, the phone comes loose from the cover resulting in scratches on the screen from the credit card rubbing. It was delivered less than an hour ago and I’m already packing it up for a return. Another design flawed product from a once great company.

My only gripe is it isn't great for holding cash as it gets too bulky and the strap doesn't close.

I did two things I have never done before. Purchased from otterbox and from popsocket. With magnet wallets I became spoiled having a detachable wallet. But I won’t in a kitchen and need a bit more protection. This wallet allows me to have any MagSafe case of my choosing! Otterbox has never been so flexible. This wallet is also compatible with pocksocket accessories which I love. When I’m the car I cans slide off the wallet and charge without the wallet folio in The way. Even the tab will attach to rear magnet when holding the folio open in my hand. And I also bought otterbox MagSafe game clip. So moving to a controller for gaming is quick and convenient. Bonus…I can hear my conversations with the folio clipped over the screen, outside on a windy day. No more face smudge on my phone screen!!! I have never been so happy with a phone wallet for an iPhone!!!

Great ish wallet. Advertised to work with all Otterbox cases that have MagSafe built-in. While yes this case does hold the defender xt series iPhone pro max, it simply is too heavy for this magnet to hold it reliably and daily. On the other hand. While using an apple leather case with this folio wallet has shown to be amazing, it has a great grip on the phone through the magnetic grip and a reliable doubt-free wallet case. It seems the more rough texture you have case-wise might help the folio stick to the phone a little better so something like leather may hold better than smooth-ish textures like otterbox cases. Other than a little overhang with the case itself when not used with an otterbox style case it's a really decent wallet I plan on using daily. Solid 8/10 with a leather case, An awful 3/10 with otterbox defender xt series

Personalmente no me gustan las carteras y normalmente no uso efectivo, así que es perfecto, super compacto y práctico, esencial el Mag Safe ademas de que es bastante seguro. Tiene un apartado para billetes y 3 espacios para tarjetas, loúnico que puedo decir es que a pesar de verse de buenos materiales los acabados no son los mejores apenas tengo un mes de uso y pienso que puede no durar mas del año en uso cotidiano, en el futuro tal vez lo complemente con el que solo tiene tarjetas.

I was very surprised with the quality given the low price C$55 (at my time of purchase). Works perfectly with MagSafe so you can use pretty much any case (however a thick case might not work well). I have been able to put 5 cards in the slots and another two along with 8 cash bill with not issues of closing. I have had other wallet cases but these cost (US$120-U$150 after shipping) and they do hold more but do not use MagSafe so you end up having to use "their" case. And while these other wallet/case are more bulk and do offer more protection if say the wallet with the phone is dropped - I like the Folio's very non-bulky feel. Also made me realize that carrying 7 cards is all I needed and even that is using it these days. Very happy with this and highly recommend this option!

Buena opción de cartera MagSafe, si te gustan en este estilo de tapa para la pantalla, ojo no va directo en el iPhone, va montada en la funda la cual también tiene que ser MagSafe, en lo personal yo la uso con la funda de piel negra de Apple y el agarre es magnífico, buena opción.

I’ve been looking for a good quality one like this for some time. This one is absolutely perfect! Super slim, strong magnet for my 12pro max. I carry 4 cards. 3 in the slots and one in the full pocket with lottery tickets and receipts. Nothing else will be this slim with all that. Super durable. But I just love that I don’t also carry a wallet anymore. I just rip my phone out of it and snap it back in as needed. The black is beautiful but probably would have picked blue if they made other colours to match my phone but certainly not a deal breaker.If you are on this fence about this, just get it. You will not regret it.

This is great. Doesn’t really bulk the phone. Love that it is easy to remove. Magnet could be stronger, but it’s still great and worth the purchase.
