Bought to replace my HP 3HP Spa Motor
Bought it because it was the cheapest option and also could be delivered in the time frame I needed it by. Arrived well packed in styrofoam, nothing damaged upon arrival. I also bought a seal kit to replace them aswell. Everything assembled together without issue. This was my first pump replacement to give you an idea of skills required. I'm considered handy around the house. You will need to remove existing electrical connection from your existing pump as well as some basic disassembly work of the old pump motor and some pieces that need to be re attached. I only use my spa about 12 times a year so it won't be getting every day usage like some others have mentioned so I'm hoping it lasts me at least the 8 years my last spa motor lasted.

Cause for High Pressure/ NOT ANYMORE
Herer is the problem that I have with this motor but first of all let's go through the Pros and ConsPros: Easy installation, fit just right, it worked from the get go.Cons: is a 2.20HP, meaning it is lightly stronger than the previous pump(2.0). Believe me when I tell you, this 2.20 will significantly increase your pool jets function.UPDATE: Change the rating to 5 stars. Pump is working as intended, Yes the water pressure is a bit stronger but it doesnโt reflect on the PSI Gauge, it is working remarkably fine. Will definitely recommend.

Perfect match
Youtube videos show how to disassemble the pump in order to replace the motor, for those who haven't done it before.

Good Motor
This is a motor that is a matching replacement for the original A. O. Smith motor. I believe it is made by A. O. Smith. It is on my pool pump. When the original motor failed after 10 years, I tried the local pool suppliers and the had A replacement motor by U. S. motors (Emerson). These are junk!! They only lasted for a little over 2 years!! HAD TWO OF THEM!! Learned my lesson. This Century motor is still running after almost 4 years.

Installation Issues
This is the second one of these I have ordered. The first one has been purring like a kitten for several years now. My only two issues are that I was told that the motor did not come with the adapter for the smaller motor diameter when installed on a Super II Hayward Pump. Actually it does come with a little rubber support which is not as good as the Hayward adapter (which you cannot purchase separately) but which will probably work. Also, it is a bit hard to get inside this motor to grab the shaft with a wrench so you can screw off the rotor head. There are no clear instructions on this and it is an important issue, but it can be done with a thin wrench once you take of the rear housing. If you don't grab it with a wrench the shaft will turn and you can't get the rotor head off. All and all though it is a good motor and a great price. I recommend it.

It is an A.O.Smith UST1202 and fit exactly where it was intended to.
I rebuilt a Jandy pool pump using this exact motor, and it is still exactly the same motor as the oneused 12 or so years ago when the pump was put in place. No, it is not the best: I am sure you will save money using the newer variable speed ones when rebuilding. But the process proved to be very tough, not like they show it on Youtube videos, where everything goes well, and the impeller could be unscrewed by hand, and so on; so if the surprises of "oh....they said it is the same but....." is the last thing you are looking for, then this motor will replace the same one down to even its drawbacks (like no place to hold the shaft). So, in a way, its minuses become pluses.Worked for me.

Really good replacement
Got the motor for my auxiliary pool pump. Found out my primary pump failed at the shaft. Installed the new motor and all started working fine. Very low noise, canโt hear it running. Had to check to make sure. Worked so well I bought a second one to replace the auxiliary pump motor. Would say I would buy it again but I already did.
