Ok with SmartThings
You must download the customer handler from HomeSeer, but once properly selected motion and temperature seem to work. I was looking primarily for a low cost temperature sensor that I could get quickly. After 1 day the HomeSeer sensor is working as expected for temperature. It did give off beeps when it sensed motion, but I have it secluded in a small cavity with no motion, so motion will no longer alert. At this point I am satisfied and would consider purchasing more of this item.

If you want to know what that led is doing, this is your product.
I have a subwoofer in an out of the way corner and this combined with a switchbot let me automate the whole thing. Now I don't wake the neighbors by accidentally blasting them with bass, only when I intentionally blast them.

False alarms
This is on my dehumidifier in a usually dark basement affixed over the blinking full light. With the unit plugged in I was initially getting many false alarms, so many that I was going to return it. I removed the device from the Z-Wave controller and re-added it. That took care of most of the false alarms. It turns out that the light sensor sees the basement lights when they turn on, even when the unit's sensitivity is set to low. This triggers a false alarm. And, yes, I made sure the sensor was firmly attached and that there were no gaps around its edges. The lights in my basement are bright so I surmise that the plastic covering the sensor is too translucent. I put black tape over the top of the sensor and the false alarms have stopped completely.I'm happy with the way the sensor works now, but having to put black tape on it to make it reliable is awful.
