Deluxe Pedal Steel Guitar Method

New to PSG and so far this book is working well for me. I like the fact that it includes notation in addition to tablature and there's just enough music theory thrown in to keep me practicing.

If you start pedal steel guitar, and already know a little bit about music and guitars, this is perfect. Both regular staff and tabs are available. I like that the author insists on sight reading sheet music.This method is very thick and it will be your companion for quite some time!

Great learning book

Lots of great information and instruction. Very helpful if used with any of the available DVD instructional material.

I liked a lot of the songs in this book. Good beginning instruction. Glad I bought it.

A spiral bound book of some 200 pages. Online content is around 84mb in size and consists of nearly ninety playing examples from the book. The images and font are somewhat retro from the seventies however the tuition is spot on. So much information here in this book and it is presented in a way that's easy to understand and demystifies this amazing instrument that Matt Allwright (TV Journalist) calls a Gordian knot of an instrument played by Jedi! Excellent publication, though dated in it's looks.

This is a real old-fashioned book which encourages you to read music if you don't already. Everything is step-by-step with no promises of instant success. The steel is difficult, and this book doesn't make it easy (it can't). But it does make it simple.Only criticism is that the recorded examples don't come with a minus-one track.

All I could have wished for. As a result, I am progressing well. If I can do it so could anyone younger.

Have been looking for a book like this for years - it's a real help in getting started.It explains very clearly.
