Q: Is this a case of 12 trays?

You should receive the number of trays indicated in the description. If the description indicates 12 trays, you should receive 12. If you do not receive the amount indicated, please report the problem to Amazon and return the product. It might be a third party incorrectly shipping your order.

Q: How much weight can it carry before it bends too much to be useful?

Well I haven't done any experiments, but we haven't had any problems. Our parishioners load them up and if there was an issue I think we would have noticed by now. They do flex a little, but if you hold them with 2 hands - no problem.

Q: will these degrade under uv light?

All plastics will degrade under UV exposure long term. I doubt that these would degrade rapidly or if only intermittently exposed to UV. Leaving them exposed to direct sunlight for long periods of time would certainly hasten their aging and breaking down. These are a GREAT Value~!

Q: What is the actual width of these? Is 14” the measurement inside or is it including the walls? Thanks!!

The actual 'outside' measurements of the trays is 17.5" wide by 14" deep. I use these trays as shelf 'liners' to hold pantry items such as bottles, cans, jars, packages, etc. Easily removed from the pantry shelves for catching spills and for cleaning.
