Design ToscanoVersailles Maidens Mantel Clock Statue, 14 Inch, Polyresin, Bronze Finish

First off, I love the clock itself. It is gorgeous, heavy, extremely detailed, beautifully colored, and worth the money, especially compared to the real thing made out of metal. This is not metal, therefore it is breakable. It should be placed in a safe location where children and pets cannot knock it over or ding it.I gave it 4 stars, however, because there are NO instructions as to how to insert a battery. I just by accident found the clear suction cup taped inside the box, which has already been designated for the trash. So that was not cool. Still it was beginner's luck that I placed the suction cup on the front plastic piece that protects the hands. That was the only way to pull the clock itself out of the resin statue. Then I eventually found a way to remove the back piece (plastic) and open the clock up where I could insert a AA battery. Then it was trial and error to figure out how to put everything back together again to be inserted back into the statue. I finally succeeded however.There is no place to store the suction cup, so one needs to figure out a safe place (that will be remembered) for the suction cup, because without it you won't be able to insert or replace the battery. Some instructions, either in the box or taped to the product (or even here) would have been very helpful to a novice like me. So for that, and the frustration of figuring it out all alone, I knocked off one star. Hopefully people will read my review before buying so they see MY instructions and don't go through what I did.

Nice looking item and I think a good value for the money, o'clock keeps time, would buy again

This clock looks elegant, sturdy and has a nice presence. I am glad that I bought it.I probably will buy a second one for my Home and keep this for my Office.

A bit heavy but looks very elegant. Not as big as I thought the clock was. Anyways, it is a figurine/statue with a clock as a bonus. Comes with the cup to remove from the design.Beautiful in my living room.

I was at first indecisive about choosing to buy this item, pictures never really do it for me unfortunately. However, after some deliberation, I ordered it. So glad I did. It arrived with no delay. It was well and securely packaged, and arrived wholly undamaged. Yes, the item description gives you the net weight of the item, but it is not until I held it in my hands that I truly appreciated its construction - which feels substantial. The intricate carvings have been faithfully reproduced in fine detail. The material it has been made from feels robust and durable, and because of its weight it's not going to get accidentally knocked off of a shelf or cabinet - or wherever else it might be placed. That the rear is just as detailed and faultless as the front is a real bonus, and somewhat rare. The bronze effect of the piece contains shades of both silver and gold related colours, and the bezel of the clock is gold/brass in colour. The clock colour seems to fit well against the bronze effect of its surroundings. Also, there's no audible 'tick' from the clock - which suits me fine. In conclusion then - not sure I would want to change anything at all about this piece. Love it just as it is!
