A must read for children and families going through divorce
As a therapist who works with children and families, I have found Dr. Camden's books to be an invaluable resource for both children and parents who are going through divorce in their family. Dr. Camden's extensive work in the field is apparent in her writing and her books, Going Back and Forth and Where Do My Brother and Sister Go, fill a gap in children's literature on the topic of divorce and transition. The language in the books as well as the lovely illustrations appeal to children and draw them in and help them understand that they are not alone and that their feelings are normal. I have seen a lot of healing, acceptance and positive shifts in attitude take place for kids after reading these books and that of course is the best outcome for families in this situation. I highly recommend Dr. Camden's books for children, parents and for therapists and professionals working with families going through divorce. Anya. Beebe., Licensed Professional Counselor.

Wonderful Resource
I was able to read this book on-line and still see all the pictures. So many things to appreciate here: the clarity of the story which really pays attention to the experience of children in the aftermath of divorce; the soft pictures which illustrate without taking the focus; the rich "for adults" section at the back. This is written by someone who works with children, but (more importantly) understands children and loves them. Dr. Camden's experience and desire to help families find productive ways through life's issues, makes this a wonderful resource for clergy and other care-givers to offer parents and children. Thank you!

Dr. Camden clearly has a passion for caring for children whose parents are living separately, a passion she first developed while raising our two children in separate homes. She poured that passion and experience into her career as a psychologist, and she has distilled much of her wisdom and learning into this little book. The narrative is designed to be shared directly with children, but there is also an insightful section for parents at the end. I am sure that it will provide much-needed help to many families.

Going Back and Forth: A joint custody story
Going Back and Forth really explains what children in this situation really must be going through. This book is a superb guide for parents and children, as well as the professional, in learning to get through these tough times. This book is written by Dr. Camden so children and adults can easily understand and enjoy it. He illustrations by Julieth Eckert are beautiful. I believe this book can be very helpful for parents and children going through joint custody divorces and the professionals guiding them.

Going Back and Forth is not only a fantastic resource for children - a calm and clear way to explain that all of the feelings a little one has when transitioning between parents are okay - but is also a wonderful resource to parents. This is a book that each parent should have at his/her home to help reflect with kiddos at the end of a tough day.

This is a wonderful book! Dr
This is a wonderful book! Dr. Camden has clearly drawn from years of experience as she captures, with kindness, the emotions a child may have when going between homes. I am thankful for this resource - not only for children, but as an encouragement for parents who want to create emotionally supportive spaces for their kids. --Jennifer Thorstad, Licensed Professional Counselor
