Originally found this item in my hardware store. Loved it. Then found it on Amazon. So convenient, wrap does not give issues when using, higher grade than what is sold in grocery stores. Love the way it cuts easily, no jagged edge to get cut on. Plastic is thicker. The boxes are beautiful and high quality not flimsy. Replacing all my kitchen wraps with there other products. Very pleased and love using them.

Has rubber feet +, Easy to load +, Box is a heavy sturdy carboard like material finished in a wipeable/water resistant covering (this can be cleaned with a damp cloth. Water on the counter wouldn't affect it if you placed the box on it), Stays in place when you lift straight up and then pull out because the box is heavy enough but not too heavy to pull out of a drawer with one hand. Fits inside my top drawer +. Inside dimensions are 13 1/8" long x 2 1/4" wide x 2 1/4" high. Outside dimensions are marked in description. Fits most wraps. I did have a roll of saran wrap with a cutter on the box which was not easy to use with one hand and I put it in the chicwrap dispenser. This roll of saran wrap is a little wider than most and it fit inside but didn't spin easily so I trimmed the cardboard roll that stuck out past the saran wrap and it works great. But as I said most rolls are not 13 1/4 long like this particular wrap. I also purchased the aluminum Chicwrap and have used it a few times. Inside dimensions are different for aluminum. I have listed them under the aluminum review. Great gift idea. I have only had it for a few days but do not see any issues going forward. If so I will update. Do check the plastic glide when you receive it. During shipping mine had a hairline crack at the end and easily broke off when I wiggled it. Should be packed better, it comes in a box loose with a row of bubble on top. Doesn't protect the box itself. I blame this on Amazon not the seller, since Amazon packs it. Amazon did replace it, but at the companies expense most likely so Amazon doesn't care.

Just got this and I love it. I was hesitant to buy this at first because frankly it's expensive. But, the drawer where I keep all the wraps is pretty shallow resulting in mashed up boxes. So I caved and bought this when the sliding thing-a-majig finally came off the old saran wrap box. This box is sturdy and it fits so perfectly in the drawer w/o hitting the top. So for that reason alone - it was worth it. May not be worth it to you if you don't have this issue. But it does look nice and the fact that it is reusable somewhat justifies the price. : )

I love this plastic wrap. There really is a difference in the slightly heavier wrap that makes it easy to use. Clings tight. The dispenser is fun to use with the slide and weight of the box. My 9 year old grandson always want am to help me wrap up the leftover softer dinner because he enjoys how the dispenser works. My only gripe is that the replacement roles are sometimes hard to find. I find the are often out of stock or, if in stock, they are overpriced due to scarcity.

I have done house-sitting for someone who has a dispenser similar to this for years, and I've loved it. Since the pandemic began, I've done fewer but larger grocery trips/purchases, and have frozen many more items, especially meats. I have been so frustrated with the use of even the higher quality/more expensive store plastic wraps, such as Saran Wrap! There seems to always be a problem pulling out the wrap, the tear-off is not clean -- and while doing these things, the Saran Wrap folds and crinkles over on itself and is almost impossible to spread out, and thus results in a smaller piece of plastic than desired. I decided to order one like my friend has, and I ordered this in the cute lemon pattered box,also ordering an additional roll of 250 ft of wrap to have on hand. (In one of the reviews, I read that a roll of this wrap lasts a long time) The quality of the Chic plastic wrap itself is far better than any store-bought brands. And it does not fold over on itself or crinkle, so the amount I pull out stays the desired size. It is heavier and more dense than Saran Wrap. The side cutter works great. I would give this five stars except for one issue. My friend's product has a plastic coating, but this box does not. Because my hands and my counters are often a bit damp because of keeping them ultra-clean while working with fish and meats. So this box is not as well protected, and I have to be aware to dry my hands more carefully, and to set it somewhere nearby where the surface is totally dry. Not a huge issue, but a bit of an inconvenience.

I love being able to get refills for plastic wrap. This is my second dispenser however. The cutting mechanism is glued to the top of the container and if you aren't careful when putting it away in a drawer it is easy to catch the cutting mechanism and pull it off. I was able to restick it back on, but it just comes off too easy now, so I ordered a new dispenser. Would be nice if somehow the plastic wrap cutter could be more like the one on the parchment paper dispenser - more bullet proof.

No hassle, no stick to itself, no thin cling wrap. Where has this product been all my life?!

I'm not one to keep wet hands while grabbing things, so there's no issue with the material of this. However if you are actively washing vegetables and packing them in wrap, I suppose that may warrant issue.

It’s made of cardboard. Definitely not worth the money
