A Day in the Office of Doctor Bugspit (Balloon Toons) Hardcover – October 25, 2011

I picked this up for my seven year old son because he loves graphic novels. He won't read almost anything on his own. I ordered this sight-unseen from Amazon, and am mostly happy with it. It has engaged my son, and he's read it over and over again. The only reason I don't give it five stars is because the story is kind of..stupid. So, if you aren't a fan of things like Captain Underpants, you aren't going to like this one. However, as a simple, silly story that encourages independent reading, it fits the bill.

My kids (2 girls - 2.5 and 4.5) absolutely love this book. We borrowed it from the library and read it every day. They found it hilarious. Older one picked up on the joke style and they both picked up on various nuances
