Are the sheets better than using oil? do i still need to use oil on my fellowes m-7c if i use the sheets? is oil much more practical and economical?

Has anyone figured out whether the sharpening compound actually helps? I'm a little skeptical that it wouldn't dull the blades, instead.

Can you get more than one use with these sheet or is it a one time use only?
