These are beautiful shoe. The leather is soft and so pretty. The welt is well done and the soles feel sturdy. I wanted to keep these so bad but inevitably sent them back in. The first pair I ordered came and I excitedly tried them on and thought "these are kinda weird. The right shoe feels a tad bigger with a flatter arch and the left shoe is snug, with a higher arch." I decided to wear them around the house but the difference stuck out like a sore thumb. So I ordered a replacement. The replacement came and the shoes were the same but the difference was a slight bit milder. I thought, well I'll take the insoles out, maybe it's them. So I took them out and tried the shoes to see...yep...still off. Ugh. I held the boots sole to sole and they don't totally line up. I even went and tried shoes on to make sure it wasn't my feet! I'm so sad. So so sad. These are seriously pretty shoes but the difference is enough to be so agrivating. Wearing them made one foot hurt and my back. I was off in them. So, as sad as it makes me I sent the newest pair back and opted to order a different brand because it's getting cold and I need to have wearble boots. Maybe this works for your feet. Maybe you aren't as OCD as me. Maybe your left foot is smaller than your right. Then these are the boots for you. Aside from this issue they are made well and beautiful leather.

I'm on my third round of these boots. Not because they wear out, because they don't! I just bought (2) new pairs of what are the 8" Women's Packer boot. Meaning the leather rise comes up about 7.75 inches from the inside start of the heel to leather.It's higher than the past boots which had about a 6.5 inch leather rise.I prefer the 6" leather rise, but can't find them any more.The quality of the boot is still great. Fabulous thick / soft leather. Good support. Strong laces. Comfortable insole. Quiet rubber sole. 2" heel. Water resistant. COMFORTABLE!!!!I use the boots for horse riding / barn work = not pretty. I'm in them 4-6 hrs per day without issue.**I found both new pairs I bought at a size 9 were slightly bigger than in the past and didn't need any break-in period. Maybe I could have bought a size 8.5 for a better fit as I expect stretching of the leather.Even with the additional leather rise height, I can still pull the zippered half-chaps over them.

I’m quite happy with these boots! The leather feels solid and of good quality and the boots are comfortable. When I first put them on,the right boot felt tighter. Not sure if it was just the socks I had on as they were thicker. I changed to a thinner wool sock and now they feel fine. Temps are below freezing here in Houston right now and my feet are not getting cold when outside for an extended time frame. The boots came on time and as expected. I bought the brown boots size 9. I’m considered an 8.5, but sometimes 8.5 is a little small depending on the brand. I think there’s a little extra room in the front but no issues associated with that. I love this rich chestnut brown color. I would recommend these boots and this seller.

I had every worry that these would give me all the aggravation other boots have caused me: slipping heel, too tight around my toes, blistering at my ankle, rapid chill to my toes in moderately cold weather. I'm delighted to report that none of the above was the case. DELIGHTED! They were true to the 7 1/2 size I needed, my wide toe box was comfortable without any pinching or cramping and when I used them on an early March, Vermont nature walk in 10 degree windy weather with just one layer of smart wool socks, I was amazed how my feet didn't get the slightest bit cold. Love these boots; they look good and best of all feel good.

The QUALITY IS AMAZING FOR THE PRICE ! Caveat, SIZING! I initially ordered the Chestnut after days of debate over the red and black or chestnut. The red and black look great in pics, but not as good in person. The Chestnut are just as gorgeous in person. The problem is sizing sizing sizing, yes 3 times. Because I ordered Size 10 3 times, but although they were marked Size 10 they were in fact......Size 10.5 on the second pair of Chestnut boots I ordered because the first pair rubbed me above my ankle in the back and would have led to an enormous blister. The first pair was a snug 10 that I couldn’t have worn with socks, but I rarely wear socks but instead install an ugg style lamb insole instead of socks, because the sewing on socks especially at the toe hurts my feet. Total Princess and the Pea Problem. I cut all tags out of clothes etc. Very sensitive skin and these boots are COMFY COMFY COMFY! The third pair the beautiful and coveted black and cherry pair were a 9.5. In summary, if the first pair doesn’t fit keep ordering until you find the perfect pair. Tip, keep them all until you find 2 that fit, a right and a left that are perfect for you might be in 2 different boxes. I opted to keep the right and left of the 10.5 because I have custom orthotics and they take up a little room, plus if I want to wear socks the pair that is a 10.5 will permit socks without my toes being crushed by the end of the boots being too short. Enjoy these boots, the will look amazing with long skirts, jeans and cute shorts with or without tights on your legs.

I bought a pair of these exact boots about13 years ago and was so sad they were looking a bit rough... I was thrilled to find these online!! My favorite boots are back and I wear them all the time... I'm a home ec teacher, not in construction!!, but this work book is just my style!! So comfortable ... right from the first wearing!! I am a size 8.5 and they are absolutely true to size.
